Bollywood's superstar, Amitabh Bachchan needs no introduction. He is one such actor in his generation who is still now working in one after the other mega-budget movies even at the age of 80 years. Besides his extraordinary acting skills, he is also loved for his dedication towards his family and values. Coming to his personal life, he is married to veteran actress, Jaya Bachchan.
For the unversed, Amitabh and Jaya for the first time on the sets of their 1971 film, Guddi. Afterwards, the madly-in-love couple appeared in many critically-acclaimed movies like Zanjeer, Abhimaan, Chupke Chupke, Sholay, and Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham. The legendary actors duo tied the knot in 1973 and were blessed with two kids, Shweta Bachchan Nanda and Abhishek Bachchan. Moreover, they are now grandparents to three grandchildren, Agastya Nanda, Navya Nanda, and Aaradhya Bachchan.

In a promo video of an upcoming episode of Kaun Banega Crorepati 14 shared by Sony Entertainment, Amitabh Bachchan can be heard revealing the cute reason behind his marriage with veteran actress, Jaya Bhaduri. At first, Amitabh was seen praising the contestant, Priyanka Maharshi's long silky smooth hair. Following this, he made a cute revelation about his liking for his wife, Jaya Bachchan's long hair back in their generation. Amitabh also mentioned that it was because of this reason that he tied the knot with Jaya. In his words:
“Humne apni patni se byaah ek iss wajah se kiya tha kyuki unke kesh kaafi lambi the."
Well, this isn't the first time when Amitabh shared some hidden secrets from his married life with his wife, Jaya Bachchan. For instance, in one of the previous episodes of Kaun Banega Crorepati 14, Amitabh had opened up about keeping a fast on Karwa Chauth with his wife, Jaya. It was when a contestant on the show revealed that her husband keeps fast on every Karwa Chauth, the show's host shared a confession about himself that left the audience in splits. Big B shared how he had also kept fast on Karwa Chauth during the initial years of his marriage with Jaya. However, Amitabh added that after some time, he had left following the ritual and had added:
"Shuru shuru me hum bhi rakhte the, fir chhod diye."

Earlier, in one of the episodes of Navya Naveli Nanda‘s podcast, What the Hell Navya, Jaya had shared how her then-to-be-husband, Amitabh didn’t want her to work regular hours after their marriage. Jaya also revealed that she and Amitabh were supposed to tie the knot in October, but they had to prepone their wedding to June. Sharing her hubby, Amitabh's one condition before getting married to her. Jaya had said:
“We had decided we will marry in October, because by then my work would have reduced. But he had told me, ‘I definitely don’t want a wife who will be 9 to 5. Please work, but not every day. You choose your projects and work with the right people’.”
