Alix Earle Reveals It Took Years Of Fighting Before She Could Call Her Dad's Former Mistress Family

Alix Earle's father had an extramarital affair with Ashley Dupre, and it was an extremely hard phase for the family, especially the influencer.

Famous influencer, Alix Earle once talked about her father's extramarital affair and how it took her years and years to come to terms with accepting Ashley Dupre as her tepmother. It was in 2008 when news of her father Thomas 'TJ' Earle's affair surfaced. It resulted in his divorce from his then-wife, Alisa Earle.

Alix Earle opened up about her father's affair with stepmother Ashley Dupre

In a podcast, Alix talked about the time when she found out about her father's affiar. ather's affair. She revealed that the day is still fresh in her memory, as photographers had shown up at her house, and her mother quickly got her and her sister out of the house over to their cousin. She said:

"I remember the day very clearly. Paparazzi had shown up at my house and my mom quickly kind of got me and my sister out of the house over to our cousins."

At that time, Alix's father, Thomas, was cheating on his wife, Alisa, with Ashley. Alix revealed that when the media came to her New Jersey house, she thought they had come to interview her neighbors. She was in fourth grade, had an iPad at the time, and was Googling her family when she suddenly found out about her family's status in the media.

She revealed that she found out that her father had an affair with someone who was well-known for her job of having sexual relations with high-class people and one of them was even with the governor of New York. She said:

"I’m Googling my family and all of a sudden, I see that the past two years of my life had been a lie. My dad had an affair with someone who was well-known for her job having sexual relations with high-class people and one of them was even the governor of New York."

Alix stated that her father's affair became well-known and it was widely discussed in the public. Upon hearing the news, Alix revealed that she felt like her world had crashed in that moment. However, it was her mother and her sister, Ashtin who shielded her from the chaos. She stated that her mother was super mature back then and made sure not to put them in stress that she was going through. However, she found out about it on her own. 

It was five years later, Thomas and Ashley got married. And she was introduced to her only after her father  officially broke things off with her mother and moved out of the house. She was asked to be respectful and nice to her but she wanted to rip her head off as it was very weird for her to deal with. Alix said:

"She would have to sit me down and be like, ‘They don’t really respect us,’ My teacher in high school was talking about this governor’s affair and said exactly what had happened—who it had happened with—and like looked me in the eyes while this was going on in class. I remember my classmates looking at me and like, laughing because this was about my family. And this was something he was literally teaching in history class."

However, years later, Alix and her mother, sister nd her younger step-siblings have formed a cordial relationship with each other. They regularly see each other in New Jersey and go on family dinners.
