According to her, the breakdown of their relationship did not involve business problems but also growing personal distrust between the two.
For those unaware, Alix’s Hot Mess podcast was signed to Cooper’s Unwell Network in 2023 before being dropped two years later. Now, as Alix and Cooper’s feud becomes the talk of the town, let us explain to you how it all started.
It was in the summer of 2023 that Alex Cooper launched her Unwell Network. In August of that year, the network’s official Instagram page posted a collaboration post with Alix Earle. In the picture, the two social media stars could be seen in celebration mode. The caption of the post read, “2 blondes walk into a boardroom…@alix_earle @alexandracooper the world is not ready!”
With the announcement, fans came to know that Cooper had officially signed Alix to “develop a variety of multiplatform concepts and projects.” Notably, Alix was the second talent to have joined the Call Me Daddy podcaster’s company. At that time, Cooper said:
“Alix Earle and Madeline Argy both have a unique presence that captivates an audience, but I love how they approach content in very different ways... I feel honored to be at a place in my career where I can pass along knowledge and advice for a new generation of creators to flourish.”
In September 2023, Alix’s podcast, Hot Mess, premiered under Unwell. Things between Alix and Cooper seemed to be going fine in the following year. However, in early February 2025, fans noticed that Alix chose not to attend the Unwell Super Bowl party that took place in New Orleans. Her decision came as a shock since she was not only a part of the network but also reportedly in town when the party happened. This led to rumors of tensions between the two.
A few days later, it was reported that Unwell had dropped Hot Mess. Sources at that time claimed that Unwell Network had “renounced all rights” to the podcast so that it would give Alix the chance to “freely explore future opportunities.” Following this, Alix seemingly responded to the rumors in a TikTok video where she said, “I also have no idea what's going on.”
In March 2025, Alix addressed leaving Cooper’s Unwell in more detail in another video. She said that she would have to stop podcasting for the unforeseeable future but did not want to reveal too much. Instead, she said that she would be pivoting to vlogging for the time being. As her video sparked speculation among fans, Cooper also took to TikTok to say:
“I see ur comments. Alix not being able to podcast has nothing to do with Unwell. Idk why she can’t/what’s going on. Unwell gave her everything back; she owns her IP.”
The full-blown feud between Alix and Cooper exploded in April 2026 when fans noticed the former reposted a TikTok video criticizing Cooper and calling her “awful.” The post stated that Cooper was “profiting off of women's heartaches and failures.” Soon, Cooper noticed this and called out Alix, stating:
"Alix Earle, hey girl, the passive-aggressive reposts and the likes and commenting on things. I got to call you out here. You're going to need to get specific and just say what you got to say about me. There's no NDA; no one is stopping you. Stop hiding behind other people and just say it yourself."
Alix Earle reposted Cooper’s video and commented, “Okay on it!” And now it seems Alix is keeping her word. On Netflix’s Earle Meets World, Alix shared that she knew things wouldn't go great, as Unwell was a startup company when she joined them. However, according to her, the network was not only being run in an improper manner, but it was also not the same as how she was promised it would be while working with them.
Alix stated that at times Cooper would ask her sexual questions she wasn't comfortable answering when she was drunk. She even read out a lengthy text message that she contemplated sending Cooper, in which she stated that she learned never to do business with someone like Cooper. She also called her a 'sick and twisted' person.
