Alia Bhatt, who is also a global brand ambassador of a beauty brand, is at the French Riviera for the Cannes Film Festival. The actress looked stunning in a structured corset ball gown, her hair neatly tied in a bun. She kept her accessories minimal. She turned heads in a creation by Yash Patil that channelled the legendary silhouettes of the 1950s. Alia posted snaps of her first look from Cannes 2026 on her Instagram. She had captioned it, "CANNES 2026 @lorealparis". Her attire was nothing but a structured, fitted bodice that had angular cups. The toned waist was accentuated by a voluminous skirt layered in the colour tones of ombre-dyed silk organza and tulle. Her look felt completely vintage, and it was as if an evergreen silhouette met the modern version in the best way.

Alia Bhatt, in an earlier interview with Indian Express, called her Cannes 2025 debut very overwhelming. She had shared that there are a lot of people and there is a lot of energy, and you’re also focusing on looking good and smiling correctly and not tripping over your dress and stuff. Alia then had confessed to growing up watching Aishwarya Rai Bachchan walk on the Cannes red carpet and said:
"I, for one, have actually grown up watching, you know, Aishwarya walk the carpet in all her glory. She really represented India on this global stage. It was always such a huge inspiration. So it really feels very nice — like a pinch-me moment — to be here.”
Alia had also revealed that everyone talks a lot about Cannes as the film festival is very prestigious. She had also added that when she goes for any appearance, she is more focused on how she is feeling as opposed to how she is looking.
