Akshay Kharodia and his wife, Divya Punetha, go on a mini-honeymoon in Uttarakhand after troubled wedding reports!
TV actor, Akshay Kharodia had become a household name with his character ‘Dev’ in the popular show, Pandya Store. After dating for eight long years, he had tied the knot with his ladylove, Dr Divya Punetha, on June 20, 2021, after postponing it for a while. One month after their wedding, there were reports about troubles sprouting in married life. However, the actor had shut them all in a classy manner. Now, the couple has gone for a mini-honeymoon in Uttarakhand.
To announce his wedding with Divya Punetha, Akshay Kharodia had shared two pictures from the same on his IG handle with the caption, “Together and forever." For the wedding, while Akshay had opted for a sea-green coloured sherwani, his better half, Divya had looked gorgeous in bright pink lehenga with heavy jewellery.

Soon after the reports of their troubled relationship, Akshay had clarified it all. The actor went on a mini-honeymoon with his wife, Divya and also celebrated her birthday there. In a conversation with ETimes TV, Akshay talked about his mini-honeymoon and said, “Yes, you can say that we are on a mini-honeymoon, right now. We have both been engrossed with work and so we were unable to for our honeymoon. We went on a short trip, which you can also term as mini honeymoon.”
Sharing that he and Divya love mountains and thus, they went to Chopta in Uttarakhand, Akshay said, “We both love mountains, and so we went to Chopta, which is in Uttrakhand. It is also known as the Switzerland of India. It is a beautiful place, with lakes and mountains. We both love being adventurous and so we chose Chopta for our vacation. Trekking and Divya are the two things that I love the most.”

Akshay also celebrated his wife, Divya’s birthday in the hills. When asked about the gift he gave to her, Akshay gave a mushy reply. He said, “Myself, I think we getting a chance to spend time with each other is a blessing in itself for both of us, so yes I gifted her, myself.” Akshay’s wife, Divya had shared a beautiful picture from her birthday celebration on her IG handle and had captioned it as “My Dear Husband...thank you for this dream come true.”
Exactly one month after their wedding, Akshay’s heartbroken post on his IG stories had started the reports of troubles in his married life with Divya. On his IG stories, Akshay had shared a cryptic post, which read “Ek Mohabbat Thi #Heartbroken” with a heartbroken and teary-eyed emoticon. This had made his fans wonder if his married life had hit a rough patch. Later, in an interview with SpotboyE, Akshay Kharodia had clarified that the story was about his upcoming project and had nothing to do with his personal life or his wife, Divya. When asked if there is any problem in his marital life, Akshay had said, "By god's grace, everything is going great between Divya and me. In fact, today is a day to celebrate as our marriage completes one month today. She is working hard towards her goal and I'm also here in my shoot. We have plans for Divya's birthday.
