The Cake At Akash Ambani And Shloka Mehta's Engagement Party Was More Attractive Than The Guests

Which one couple flashes across your minds when we speak of wedding these days? Inarguably, it has to be Akash Ambani and Shloka Mehta, right? After all, it’s the Ambanis we’re talking about. India’s richest man, Mukesh Ambani’s son, Akash Ambani got engaged to Shloka Mehta on March 24, 2017, in a five-star Goan resort. And since then, they have been making it to the headlines quite a lot.

After Akash Ambani and Shloka Mehta’s engagement, the Ambanis hosted a post-engagement bash at their famous residence, Antilla. It was a star-studded affair and a few names who graced the occasion included Shah Rukh Khan, Aishwarya Rai, Karan Johar, Katrina Kaif, John Abraham, among various others.

But, what attracted us beyond the glamorous guest list was their cake! Yes, a special multi-tier cake made by Mumbai's Deliciae Patisserie. Bunty Mahajan, the patisserie chef at the famous Deliciae Patisserie who designed the cake shared it on her Instagram, “Put my heart and soul into this one, to make it as perfect as possible!” The magnificent and sumptuous cake had a floral design and an equally beautiful floral stand on which it was placed. The cake also bore the embellished letters, ‘sa’, on it, which obviously stands for Shloka Mehta and Akash Ambani. Doesn’t this cake seem to have come out of a fairy-tale? Apart from this cake, everything was just spot-on at the post-engagement party. The entire Antilla was ornamented with beautiful flowers and lights. Even the couple looked so perfect and made-for-each-other type! Akash looked extremely handsome in a blue suit and Shloka donned a gorgeous coffee-coloured gown with minimal diamond jewellery and nude makeup. Akash and Shloka have known each other since their school days, Dhirubhai Ambani International School where they studied together. Shloka, on the other hand, once mentioned, “Despite years and busy schedules, we have always found ways to stay connected. We are lucky to have a love that began with being best friends and luckier still to have such supportive families.”

Now, that their engagement is done and dusted, we’re waiting for their wedding! And as per reports, Akash Ambani and Shloka Mehta’s wedding would take place between December 8 and December 12 in Mumbai itself!
