A while back, a video featuring Aishwarya surfaced online while she was preparing to jet off from Mumbai to attend the prestigious Cannes Film Festival. According to reports, Aishwarya left for the Cannes Film Festival 2026 on May 21, 2026. Earlier, this month, when L’Oreal excluded her poster, rumours were rife that Aishwarya might miss this year’s Cannes Film Festival.
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has won hearts with her down-to-earth behaviour. And this time, there was no exception either. While the Miss World 1994 pageant winner left for the prestigious Cannes Film Festival 2026 event, she posed for a picture with a young fan before entering the Mumbai airport. Aishwarya was seen making her way to the airport with her daughter, Aaradhya. The mom-daughter duo looked stylish in an all-black outfit.
Earlier, this month, when L'Oreal Paris shared photos from its campaign featuring ambassadors including Alia Bhatt, eagle-eyed fans quickly noticed Aishwarya’s absence. The brand’s Instagram post fuelled speculation that Aishwarya might miss attending the Cannes Film Festival this year. However, the Bollywood diva’s recent public appearance has put all rumours to rest. Now that Aishwarya has left for the Cannes Film Festival with her daughter, her fans are eagerly waiting to see her look.
Aishwarya has never failed to win hearts with her grace and personality. However, it was the Bollywood diva’s first appearance at the Cannes Film Festival in 2002 that stole the spotlight. She turned heads in a bright yellow saree designed by Neeta Lulla. The ensemble featured a heavy border and golden embroidery. She completed her look with statement jewellery, including a choker, matching earrings and bangles. Aishwarya attended the prestigious event with Bollywood superstar, Shah Rukh Khan and renowned director, Sanjay Leela Bhansali for the premiere of the iconic film, Devdas. The following year, in 2003, L’Oreal Paris appointed Aishwarya as their global ambassador.
Earlier, this month, on May 10, 2026, the famous brand, L'Oreal Paris, shared a video featuring the global ambassadors, including Alia Bhatt, Viola Davis, Eva Longoria and Helen Mirren. However, hawk-eyed fans noticed Aishwarya’s absence. Shortly after the video surfaced online, it came under scrutiny for missing out the Bollywood diva. A user wrote, "Every INDIAN knows about @lorealparis & Cannes because of @aishwaryaraibachchan_arb-L’Oréal needs Aishwarya more than Aishwarya needs L’Oréal any day."
Another user commented, "Where is OG Queen Aishwarya?" A fan penned, "It's so funny that @lorealparis would try this in the year where we're paying extra taxes to buy your products. You don't need us to switch to ELF Beauty in this economy. Respect the Queen, who actually sells your products! Aishwarya Rai Bachchan." Another fan commented, "Why Queen Aishwarya Rai's photo is not there ...she is Queen and OG Diva of L'Oréal." Another comment can be read as:

This year, on April 20, 2026, Aishwarya and her husband, Abhishek Bachchan, completed 19 years of togetherness. The pair first crossed paths while filming a photoshoot for Raj Kanwar’s romance film, Dhaai Akshar Prem Ke. They reportedly fell in love while shooting for the song, Kajra Re for the film, Bunty and Babli in 2006. The couple’s wedding ceremony on April 20, 2007, was a star-studded event.
