Aditya Dhar's 'Dhurandhar 2' screening in regional languages got cancelled at last-minute leaving fans disappointed, but the makers shared a note apologising for the same.
Fans of Dhurandhar across the nation are excited for the premiere of the film on March 19, 2026, on the occasion of Chaitra Navratri. The movie is the sequel to Aditya Dhar's much-awaited blockbuster film, Dhurandhar, which was released in 2025, and revived Ranveer Singh's career as a spy. As the excitement is rife, regional fans are left disappointed due to last-minute cancellations of the film.
Aditya Dhar apologised to his fans, who were awaiting the release of the film in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada. The last-minute cancellations left many disappointed as they had already booked the tickets. Aditya Dhar penned a special post for the regional fans and apologised to them. In the same he revealed that when the movie will be available as per different languages. Aditya Dhar shared that the show will start from 9 p.m. at night. He wrote:
"To our dear Dhurandhar family, Dhurandhar is not just a film for us; it is something we have lived with, nurtured, and dreamed of sharing with each and every one of you, together, at the same moment, in every language. Most of our Hindi shows across India are running as scheduled from 5 pm onwards. All of our Tamil and Telugu shows will commence from 9 pm onwards. However, due to unforeseen technical difficulties, our Malayalam and Kannada shows will begin from tomorrow morning."
Aditya Dhar further shared that if the dubbed version's tickets are not playing at your cinema, fans can either get a refund or watch the film in Hindi with subtitles. He apologised for the inconvenience, and wrote:
"If the dubbed version you have tickets for is not currently playing at your cinema, you will have the option for a refund or to watch the Hindi version with subtitles instead. We truly apologise for the inconvenience. Your love for this film means the world to us, and we cannot wait to share it with you. – Team Jio Studios and B62 Studios."
For those who don't know, the second sequel of the film follows the journey of 'Jaskirat Singh Rangi' played by Ranveer Singh, who is an Indian spy. He is a fearsome spy who hid his identity and became 'Hamza Ali Mazari'. In the first film, he had defeated Pakistani mobster, 'Rehman Dakait'. He got himself rooted in Karachi's underworld and rose to fame as 'Sher-e-Baloch'. Sara Arjun portrayed the role of 'Yalina', who is 'Hamza' wife. The sequel shows how 'Ajay Sanyal', played by R. Madhavan, recruited him for the risky assignment.
