Recalling his first meeting with Aishwarya Rai, Abhishek Bachchan shared how she couldn't understand a word he spoke.
Tagged as one of the power couples of Bollywood, Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan are pure love goals. It was the happiest moment for Bollywood fanatics when the queen of hearts, Aishwarya, had fallen in love with the aankhon ka taara of the Bachchan family, Abhishek Bachchan.
It was during the filming of Guru when Abhishek Bachchan had proposed Aishwarya Rai. On April 20, 2007, Aishwarya had added Bachchan to her name as she had exchanged wedding vows with Abhishek. Every picture of this beautiful couple gives us a glimpse of their ever-lasting love. After four years of marital bliss, Abhishek and Aishwarya had embraced parenthood in 2011 and had welcomed their baby girl, Aaradhya Bachchan.

In a podcast with YouTuber, Ranveer Allahbadia, Abhishek Bachchan recalled his first meeting with Aishwarya Rai, when he was working as a production boy for his dad, Amitabh Bachchan's film, Mrityudaata. Talking about the same, he said:
"My dear friend Bobby Deol was shooting his first film, Aur Pyaar Ho gaya. I was at the same location, I went to say a hi to him when he said, 'oh come for dinner.' That was Aishwarya's first Hindi film and that's the first time I ever interacted with her."
Abhishek further stated that Aishwarya couldn't understand a word he spoke because of his heavy accent. Stating how Aishwarya still makes fun of their first meeting, the doting husband said:
"Whenever she talks about it, she jokingly says, ‘I couldn’t understand a word of what you were saying’. Because here I was, this kid from an international boarding school, then went to Boston. I must’ve had some really heavy accent at that point. And she was like, ‘What were you saying?’”

During a 2018 event with filmmaker, Shoojit Sircar, Abhishek Bachchan had talked about pay parity and had shared how his wife, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was paid more than him. Revealing that Aishwarya’s paycheck was higher than him in eight out of nine films they did together, Abhishek had said:
“There’s a huge debate on gender parity in the film business and in other industries. I’ve worked in nine films with my wife and in eight of those, she’s got paid more than I have.”
Aishwarya and Abhishek completed 14 years of marital bliss on April 20, 2021, and in late anniversary posts, while Abhishek had thanked his fans for the wishes, she had given a glimpse of how they had celebrated the occasion. Aishwarya had posted a screenshot, posing with their little one, Aaradhya, for her virtual anniversary celebration with Abhishek, and had captioned it with a few emojis.
On the work front, Abhishek Bachchan will be next seen in Dasvi!
