In a recent interview, Abhinav Shukla opened up about Avinash Sachdeva's comments on the former's wife, Rubina Dilaik and gave the latter a piece of advice.
Abhinav Shukla and Rubina Dilaik are considered among the most loved couples in the telly world. The duo tied the knot in 2018 and later embraced parenthood in November 2023. For the unversed, Abhinav and Rubina are blessed with twin daughters, Jeeva and Edhaa. However, before marrying Abhinav, Rubina was in a relationship with her Choti Bahu co-star, Avinash Sachdeva. Unfortunately, the two of them experienced a rough patch, and they decided to part ways after dating each other for a couple of years.
Avinash Sachdeva and Rubina Dilaik never revealed the details of their breakup. However, in an interview with Siddharth Kannan, Avinash was asked about his relationship with Rubina, and the actor revealed why they decided to get separated. Speaking along the same lines, Avinash went on to call Rubina an insecure and possessive girlfriend, hinting it to be the reason for the end of their relationship. While both Rubina and Abhinav kept mum to the same, now the latter reacted to it.

In a recent interview with Subhojit Ghosh, Abhinav Shukla was asked about his reaction to Avinash Sachdeva's statement on the former's wife, Rubina Dilaik. Reacting to the same, Abhinav gave a valuable piece of advice to Avinash and all the other youngsters and shared that when a relationship is over, a real man should never talk about the girl. He said:
''My advice to lots of youngsters out there, who are dating, who are in a relationship and who are conscious and do not wish to spoil their life, here is a golden rule - When a relationship is over, it's over! Be a man, do not talk about that girl, do not talk about anything from the past because it doesn't help."
The actor further stated that an ex-couple can never be friends again after a breakup as their emotions are involved. Further speaking about Avinash's statement, Abhinav revealed that he did not pay attention to whatever the former said as he is no one to comment on Rubina. The actor said:
''What has ended, has ended. 'We have broken up but we are still friends'- This has come from Hollywood. You can't be friends. Because if you have broken up with the person with whom your emotions were involved. You can't be friends with them so cut them off. I never paid attention to whatever he said. Even if he has said, it's fine. He can't tell me that she is like that."

Abhinav also revealed why he and Rubina chose not to discuss Avinash's comment and said that they thought it was a trivial thing. Talking about Avinash, Abhinav mentioned that he has worked with the former and finds him like an okay guy. He even added that he chose never to talk about Rubina and Avinash's relationship because it's their dignity and said:
''It's a very trivial thing. I have worked with him and I find him like an okay guy. There is no point in talking about the past and even if he is doing it, I don't care. I have dated women in this city and if somebody comes to know who all, they will be shocked because I have never spoken a word about them and I will never even speak because it's their dignity."
