However, now, it seems that he is on a journey to mend his relationship with them, as he was seen posting a picture alongside his mom and dad.
Aaron Rodgers has been in the NFL for more than 20 seasons. During the years 2014-2017 of those seasons, he had been in a relationship with popular actress Olivia Munn. After their breakup, Olivia admitted that he had never given her any credit for the wins in that period.
In a conversation on the Armchair Expert podcast, she also said that she did not watch Aaron’s Netflix documentary titled Enigma as she was aware that it would push a narrative where she was responsible for all his on-field mishaps. She said:
“During the time that I was with him, he had three Hail Marys, I think two NFC championships — not wins — but he made it into the NFC championship, which is very hard. No one would want to talk about that. I didn’t get credit for any of the wins.”
However, this was not the most shocking part of the conversation. She went on to discuss Aaron's strained relationship with his parents and Jordan Rodgers. Olivia revealed that unlike what many people thought, she was not responsible for Aaron's relationship with them falling apart. The only reason she has kept quiet about it was that it is not her story to tell. She added:
“That had nothing to do with me,” and went on to say, “It became this whole big thing, and people were like, ‘I can’t believe her, she’s keeping this family apart.’ People have speculated for many years what was the rift, and I know, but I’m not saying because it’s not my story to tell.”
Olivia said that she appreciated when Aaron had said the truth straight regarding the same. She claimed that even though people did not want to take hold of that statement, it made her “feel good that it was said.”
For those who don't know, in Ian O’Connor’s book Out of the Darkness: The Mystery of Aaron Rodgers, the Pittsburgh Steelers star had confirmed that his ex-girlfriend Olivia Munn had “nothing to do with” his family issues, which had started years before.

However, he left his fans shocked on Monday, July 20, 2026, when he posted a series of new pictures featuring his mother, Darla Rodgers, and his father, Ed Rodgers. In one of the pictures, Aaron is seen with his arm around his mom while she embraces him with both arms. They had the biggest smiles on their faces as they looked into the camera lens.
In another snap, Aaron and his father can be seen smiling and standing side by side, with their arms around each other's backs. Aaron kept the caption short, sweet, and simple, writing, “Another bonding week. #fam.”
Ed had previously revealed that their family had stopped communicating with Aaron somewhere around 2014. When asked about the reason, he said, “It's complicated.” Their strained relationship once again became the talk of the town when Jordan Rodgers appeared on ABC’s The Bachelorette and said:
“Me and Aaron don't have that much of a relationship. It's kind of the way he's chosen to do life.”
