Recently, Aamir Khan’s brother, Faissal had a candid conversation at a press conference, during which he opened up about his private and personal matters. He addressed the rift with his family and publicly apologised to them. He explained that he took the first step in mending things by calling his sister, Nikhat. Soon after the call, he took a flight to Mumbai to apologise. Faissal Khan was quoted as saying:
"I realised that I had broken my relationship with my family. That’s when I decided that I would be the one to make the first move. She (Nikhat) picked up the phone immediately. Then I came to know that my mother missed me. Hearing that made me emotional, and the very next day I caught a flight to Mumbai."
Further, Faissal Khan credited the Quran for making him realise his mistakes. Recalling the meeting, he shared, "Everyone welcomed me. My mother, Nikhat, Santosh and Aamir all accepted me. Now all our grievances have come to an end." Hoping for peace and harmony with his family, Faissal said:
"I want to first apologise to my mother. I want to apologise to Nikhat. I want to apologise to Santosh. I also apologise to Aamir. In anger and pain, I said many things that I should never have said. I should not have spoken about those things in public. I should have sat down with my family and discussed them. I don’t want any answers anymore. I don’t want to prove that I am right and someone else is wrong. More than the truth, I want peace. I want harmony with my family."
