Mumbai Couple Forced To Leave The City After Their Proposal Video Goes Viral

Public display of affection is a strict no-no in a regressive country like ours! You can spit on the road, pass lewd comments on someone and you can also break the traffic rules, but showing slightest of love to your partner is a big CRIME here!

Well recently, a couple landed themselves in big trouble when the man proposed a lady who was by the way his girlfriend. Yes, you read it right! A man from Bhiwandi went down on his knees and proposed his girlfriend in public. After proposing to her, he hugged her out of love and boy, he was in trouble!

Someone shot the entire video of the romantic episode and uploaded it on social media.

Within no time, it went viral and what happened next was shocking! The couple, especially the man was made to apologise in a video and it was uploaded online. The story does not end here, he was also humiliated by the local organization, threatening him that they will make them do squats in public!

After all the humiliation, the couple and their family was so traumatised that they decided to leave the city. The woman’s mother shared her story, saying:

"We are upset. My daughter has threatened to commit suicide if the harassment does not stop. It's unethical of some people to react in this way over a silly mistake."

It happened last week when the boy along with his bunch of friends went outside the girl’s college with a rose and went down on his knees to profess his love! Everyone cheered for the couple after she accepted his proposal and the rose!

Next day, the video went viral and the two were threatened to pay for their deed as it was against their religion!

Shakeel Raza, secretary, Raza Academy, which forced the apology, said:

"We only made the couple realise their mistake and asked them to apologise for whatever they did publicly."

A FIR has been registered by the family of the girl against all those who are threatening the poor girl for simply hugging her boyfriend on the road!
