Apple TV+ confirmed at the time that the second season of the show will arrive on February 27, 2026. The format will remain the same as the first season, except that Episode 1 will arrive on the premiere date. Season 2 will have ten episodes in total, with one episode releasing each week, ending the show on May 1, 2026. The titles of the episodes have not been revealed yet.

The Hollywood Reporter stated that Monarch: Legacy of Monsters Season 2 will feature a lineup of actors making guest appearances. The list includes names such as Takehiro Hira, Amber Midthunder, Curtiss Cook, Cliff Curtis, Dominique Tipper, and Camilo Jimenez Varon. Among the leads, Wyatt Russell and Kurt Russell would remain a part of the series along with Anna Sawai, Kiersey Clemons, Ren Watabe, Mari Yamamoto, and many others.
Chris Black will serve as the showrunner for the second season. Although a third season has not been confirmed yet, Apple TV+ and Legendary Entertainment are collaborating on other projects, including some spinoffs. Chris Black has also written the first episode. The remaining episodes are written by Dan Dworkin, Andrew Colville, Joe Pokaski, Mariko Tamaki, and more.
