And the same day, news broke that she and her now-estranged husband, Patrick Mendes, were getting a divorce. Amid that, new claims have come forward regarding the alleged domestic abuse. According to a police report obtained by TMZ on Monday, June 1, 2026 (ET), Thais Ramone's arrest occurred after Patrick Mendes called the police and claimed she "slapped him on the left side of his face with an open right hand" at her home. The reports further revealed that Mendes said the argument occurred two days after he had served Ramone with divorce papers. He added that the latter was triggered when he brought their 3-year-old daughter, Aleesi, to say goodbye to her since she was leaving for Brazil, her home country.
An officer further claimed that the 36-year-old had videotaped the slap, and he had marks on his face which were consistent with his story. However, Thais Ramone claimed that she acted in self-defence and called Patrick Mendes "controlling". The fight and back-and-forth allegations suggest that as their divorce proceeds, things will allegedly get even more complicated between the two.

According to court documents obtained by the outlet, Patrick filed for divorce earlier this week, citing "incompatibility" as the reason behind the separation. Following the filing of the divorce, a representative for the couple released a statement on their behalf, urging fans not to jump to conclusions. For the unversed, Mendes and Ramone made their 90 Day Fiance debut on Season 9 in 2022, which documented Ramone moving from Brazil to the US to be with Mendes. They tied the knot on February 22, 2022. Their statement reads:
