It was one hell of a drunken night at a common friend’s reception, where the two first met…and fell in love! Well, let us introduce you to our beautiful couple, Luv Israni, a renowned fashion photographer, and Hemali Turakhia, an IT professional. Before we begin with this couple’s beautiful journey, let us introduce you to someone really important! Well, one of the most interesting parts of this couple’s wedding celebrations is the groom’s sister, Megha Israni, a celebrated wedding photographer. The highly-excited sister single-handedly planned the entire five-event and eight-day long wedding celebrations, all of which were simply superb! Ever since her childhood, Megha always dreamt of having a big fat wedding not only for herself, but for her brother as well. And, being a part of the wedding industry herself, she obviously had all the right contacts and ideas in mind to make all this happen. So, let us begin with the celebrations now!

It all started on July 25, 2015, when the holy Guru Granth Sahib was welcomed into the Israni residence to bless the entire family as well as the guests.
The next day saw the most fun-filled and crazy function, which was the pool party hosted by Megha at The Ramada, Powai. Lots of sunshine, splash, designer swimwear and plenty of booze were the mood-makers of the event, and the guests enjoyed every bit of this super-fun event. The couple looked pretty cool in their chic outfits. Hemali looked radiant in a printed gown, and Luv looked dapper in a white tee and blue jeans combo, which he teamed up with a super-cool printed blazer.
The pool party was a super-success, but quite tiring too. And hence, Megha very intelligently planned the next event after a two-day gap for everyone to relax and be as fresh and energetic as ever!

The engagement-cum-sangeet ceremony was the next event of this couple's wedding celebrations. It took place at The Grand Imperial Banquets, which also happened to be the same place where the couple first met. Dressed in an off-shoulder peach gown teamed up with beautiful pearls, Hemali looked no less than a fairy straight out of a dreamland. And, the super-stylish groom complemented his lady love well in a black bandhgala long jacket with maroon pocket square and white lowers.

Being a celebrity fashion photographer, Luv has a lot of friends in the television industry. And that is why; the functions saw a lot of celebrities at the event. The celebrity guests included singing reality show, Indian Idol singer, Rahul Vaidya, DJ Alex, Madhuri Bhattacharya, Rakesh Paul, Anjana Sukhani, among others.

Next evening, the couple had their mehendi ceremony. It was hosted at Levo, Mumbai, and had live dhol as a special attraction of the evening. The couple looked radiant in their bright and colourful outfits. Indian Idol singer, Bhavin Dhanik, made the evening absolutely romantic with his melodious voice.

A brilliant thing that Megha did before booking the venues for all the events was that she ensured all of them had permission to carry on the functions uninterrupted till 4 am in the morning. Also, the loving sister added a personal touch to each event as she made reminder videos for all of them, and sent them out a few hours before each!

Next was the haldi ceremony, which took place at the Israni residence. They had a South Indian style Sindhi Ghadi Pooja, which was attended by the close friends and family members of the couple. The guests were served a delicious and authentic South Indian spread. The haldi ceremony was followed by a karaoke session that gave the guests a relaxing entertainment, and the event was wrapped up as soon as the clock struck 12.

The D-Day was finally here, a day that both the bride and the groom had waited for since long. And, a day that was Megha’s baby; a wedding that she had dreamt of planning with no stones left unturned! Both the bride and the groom chose shades of gold for their wedding outfits, and looked absolutely stunning in them.

Having planned something or other unique for each function, Megha obviously had to do something totally hatke at this occasion. So, she invited Meera Shah, a Bhagwat Geeta teacher, who explained each vow in English so that all could understand it. And finally, amongst close friends and family members, the two entered the bonds of holy matrimony on August 1, 2015. Some of the celebrity friends of the groom present at the wedding ceremony were Divyanka Tripathi, Mehul Buch, Sherlyn Chopra, Aarti Chhabria, Anjana Sukhani, Giaa Manek, Prerna Wanvari, Rakesh Paul, Hunar Hali, Alex O’Neil and Ejhas Khan.

And then, it was time for the reception dinner that took place at The Lalit. Hemali looked regal in a red Indo-western gown, and Luv looked dashing in a classy pair of tux. The event saw a huge gathering of Bollywood and television celebrities. There were Zarine Khan, Anita Hassanandani, Rahul Vaidya, Anil Sharma, Ravi Dubey, Manish Wadhwa, Rajesh Puri, Surendra Pal Singh, Brinda Parek, Nandish Sandhu, Ravi Dubey, Khushwant Walia, Pooja Ghai, Madhuri Bhattacharya and Nakuul Mehta, to name a few!
The reception party was an IIFA style award night planned superbly by Megha. All the guests got a funny tagline or award based on their pictures from the previous events. And, the best part about it was that all members participated fully in the event. That is not all! Each award winner got an 18-carat neckpiece as the prize!
