Dev Anand launched several actors’ careers through his films, but no one had such success as Zeenat Aman. Dev Sahab was looking for someone to cast as her sister in ‘Hare Ram Hare Krishna’ and two-film old (both flop) Zeenat caught his eye. The success of the film made Zeenat the heartthrob of the nation and a new partnership was born. Dev Anand cast Zeenat in many other films such as Heera-Panna, Ishq Ishq Ishq etc. Dev Anand later admitted that he was once in love with Aman and was going to propose to her but decided against it.
