Indian cricketer and former RCB captain, Virat Kohli is a powerhouse of talent. The cricketer never fails to inspire his fans with his tremendous fitness and consistency on the cricket field. On the personal front, Virat is married to Anushka Sharma, and they are blessed with two kids, Vamika and Akaay. Earlier, rumours were rife that Virat and Anushka were going to move to the UK and settle down there. It looks like even Virat has confirmed the same.

Virat Kohli talks about his retirement plans

In a recent conversation with his IPL franchise, Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) at the Royal Gala Dinner, Virat Kohli spilled the beans on his post-retirement plans. Talking about the same, the cricketer said that he would take a long break after he is done playing cricket. He also suggested that he doesn't want to have any regrets as a sportsperson, after his retirement. Kohli was heard saying:

"I think as a sportsman, we do have an end-date to our careers. So I am just working backwards. I don't want to finish my career thinking, 'Oh, what if I have done this on that particular day?' because I can't keep going on and on forever. So it's just about not leaving any undone business behind and not have any regrets later, which I am sure I won't."

Virat Kohli hints at the possibility of him moving abroad

Virat Kohli also mentioned that he would take a long break after retiring from cricket and then would  think about deciding the next chapter in his life. The cricketer also stated that he wants to give his everything to the sport and always be his best self whenever he plays. Talking about the same, he added:

"Once I am done, I will be gone, you won't see me for a while (smiles). So I want to give it everything I have till the time I play, and that's the only thing that keeps me going."

Virat Kohli, who made his cricketing debut in 2008, is now hailed as the greatest batter of his generation. He enjoys a massive fan following and people look at him for inspiration. As the video of Virat talking about his retirement plans surfaced on Reddit, his fans were disheartened. They flooded the comment section with their reactions. A user penned, "Aur 10 saal tak mat jaana Sir, if Thala can you can also", another commented, "Cricket won't be the same for me when Koach retires."

On May 14, 2024, Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli thanked the cameramen for diligently following their request of not clicking their kids' pictures. In a video shared by paparazzo, Viral Bhayani, we could see Anushka and Virat's hamper featuring handpicked goodies that would be of practical importance to the paparazzi.
