Smriti Khanna and Gautam Gupta are among the most loved celebrity couples. The duo met while shooting for the show, Meri Aashiqui Tumse Hi. Soon, they fell in love and started dating, and in 2017, they got married in a grand wedding ceremony. Later, in 2020, Gautam and Smriti welcomed their first child, a baby girl whom they named Anayka Gupta. Now, the family of three is soon going to be four as Smriti announced the arrival of her second child.
On April 17, 2024, Smriti took to her Instagram handle and posted a couple of pictures. Sharing the photo, Smriti revealed that she is soon going to welcome her second child. In the pictures, we can see the second-time mommy-to-be glowing as she donned a fitted baby pink dress with sequinned work on the bodice and a thigh-high slit. We also spotted her daughter, Anayka, hugging the baby bump while Smriti's husband, Gautam, gave her a side hug from behind.

In another photo, the trio was seen posing with their pooch, and the family looked super excited. Along with the dreamy photos, Smriti penned a heart-melting note and recalled the challenges they have faced during their journey. The mom-to-be further shared how their they have dreamt of this moment and fought through the tough times. She also revealed that her due date is in September 2024. Her note can be read as:
"After a journey filled with more challenges than we ever expected, we are overflowing with emotion as we make this beautiful announcement: Our family is growing! Our darling daughter Anayka is stepping up to the role of big sister, and our dog Lucas is about to become the best big brother. We’ve dreamed of this moment and fought through tough times to get here. Our hearts are full as we share our joy with you. Baby 2 is on the way, and we couldn’t be more excited to meet our newest love. Here’s to new adventures and endless love as a family of four... plus paws! September ‘24 it is!"
To announce the best news of her life, Smriti Khanna shared a family picture with her husband as they looked at each other with smiles on their faces and the 29-year-old star holding her baby girl in her arms. Smriti had captioned her post as "Our princess has arrived 15.04.2020." And it was a few weeks later, Smriti posted their first family picture from the labour room with Gautam and their newborn, revealing the name of their daughter.
