Priya Malik rose to fame with her stint in the reality show, Bigg Boss 9. After this, she became part of shows like Savdhaan India, Crime Patrol, Nazar, and many more. Apart from being a phenomenal actress, she is an amazing spoken word poet and a storyteller. She is the one, who made us believe in the '90s wala pyaar' with her poems. The actress-turned-poet, Priya Malik tied the knot with the love of her life, Karan Bakshi, in an intimate wedding in 2022. Currently, the couple are counting weeks to meet their first child as Priya is pregnant.
During Kommune's Spoken Fest, Priya Malik shared a story about her first pregnancy, which led to a silent miscarriage. The actress revealed that she had thought of freezing her eggs when she found out she was pregnant with her first child. She was super happy when she first time heard her baby's faint heartbeat sound. However, it was during the viability scan that Priya and her husband thought of celebrating the day with a celebratory lunch outing. But it was during the sonography test she found out that the baby had passed away and there was no heartbeat.

Priya revealed that she had a silent miscarriage, wherein there are no signs, no warnings, but your baby passes away. Recalling the traumatic moment, Priya shared that she felt her body failed, and she had a lot of questions but didn't know how to process them. She also talked about how women do not talk about miscarriage.
On February 7, 2024, Priya took to her Instagram handle and surprised her fans. She posted the first pictures of her baby bump. In the photos, Priya was decked up in a subtle white-hued maxi dress and was sitting with her husband, Karan, who held her in his arms. We can also see Priya's cat looking at her in awe. On the other hand, Priya was cradling her baby bump. Sharing the photos, Priya wrote:
"Mother is mothering."
In an interview with ETimes, Priya Malik recently talked about her first pregnancy. Priya also shared that she had a miscarriage in 2023 as it was an unplanned pregnancy. Priya also expressed that during this pregnancy, every ultrasound felt like an exam, and she was scared that she would fail. The actress further revealed that she had frozen her eggs, but she conceived naturally. She was quoted as saying:
“People talk about pregnancy, but not miscarriage. That was a difficult phase. I remember how after I got pregnant again, every ultrasound would feel like an exam that you are scared that you may fail. You don’t know when to celebrate with everyone. You don’t know whether to feel anxious, excited, or nervous, but gradually, you do learn to trust your body."
