Legendary singer, late Bappi Lahiri, was one of the most renowned artists and singers of his decade. His impeccable talents created an era of glorious music in Bollywood, the tunes of which are hummed even today. While his unfortunate demise in the year 2022 left a huge void in the music industry, his doting son, Bappa Lahiri, has promised to keep up his father’s legacy of exceptional music-making.
Taking to his IG handle on December 27, 2022, Bappa wished his fans a belated ‘Merry Christmas’ and dropped a cute picture of himself with his wife, Taneesha and his son, Krishh. However, what caught our notice was that their son, Krishh, was holding a little snapshot of an ultrasound image showing a tiny baby. Well, Bappa’s caption made it all clear that the couple was expecting their second child soon. His caption could be read as:

“Merry Christmas from (Almost)4 of us.”

As soon as Bappa posted this adorable family picture and made a grand announcement, he was showered all the love from his extended family and friends. From talented singer, Akriti Kakkar to the gorgeous actress, Sumona Chakravarti, they all wished the couple on their grand new journey ahead.

The lovebirds, Bappa and Taneesha, knew each other quite closely and dated for a couple of years before tying the knot on March 18, 2012. Recalling his son’s decision to be wedded to the love of his life, the late music composer, Bappi Lahiri, had then mentioned that their match wasn’t one arranged by their families, but instead, they brought their respective families together. The lovely couple embraced parenthood for the first time after the arrival of their son, Krishh, in 2017.

The Lahiris suffered a tragic loss when Bappi Lahiri bid adieu to the world in 2022. Going back to the year’s beginning, his doting son, Bappa, had once mentioned in an interview with the ETimes how his father had been requesting him time and again, just a few months before his demise, to come back to India and visit him.
Bappi Lahiri’s sudden demise came as shocking news to the Hindi film and music fraternity on February 16, 2022. The renowned music composer breathed his last at the age of 69 years. Known as one of the most versatile music composers to date, Bappi Lahiri has been tagged as the ‘Disco King’ of Bollywood's 70s and 80s musical era. His popular chartbusters in films like, Disco Dancer, Himmatwala, Thaanedar are remembered to date.
