The wedding celebrations have already begun. Since the countdown is now left of only one day, the excitement level is also increasing with each passing hour. After the fun-filled haldi and kalire ceremony, Dipika Kakar and Shoaib Ibrahim’s mehendi function has started. Sasural Simar Ka fame couple is, as usual, looking amazing in their simple avatars.
Even though the couple wanted their wedding to be a hush-hush affair, the pictures of the ceremonies are getting viral like fire. February 21 started off with Shoaib and Dipika’s mehendi ceremony. While the dashing groom-to-be is wearing an orange kurta with a black pyjama flaunting the minimal mehendi in his hand, his lovely bride-to-be is looking gorgeous in a black and beige salwar kameez with a yellow phulkari dupatta. Their pre-wedding function pictures are flooded on the internet, and their fans can’t get enough of it. As per the reports, Shoaib and Dipika will be pronounced as husband and wife on February 22, 2018. Their wedding rituals will take place according to the Muslim tradition. Only their close friends and family are invited to the wedding. Their wedding will be followed by a grand reception function at Sea Princess hotel, Mumbai on February 26 for their industry friends.
Even though Shoaib and Dipika hail from different religions, it never became a problem between the two. Speaking about the same, Dipika said in an interview, "It was never an issue between us as we have our priorities sorted. We are mature people and understand each other well. Be it work or personal life, we take all decisions together as that’s how our relationship has been formed." Further, she talked about her relationship and remarked, "Whenever I talk about relationships, people say you are too gyaani (laughs). But I think a relationship is built by a lot of things put together and not just on one aspect. There has to be respect, transparency, loyalty, trust and a lot of love. Also, with Shoaib and me, we have still retained our friendship and that has helped us a lot. Even now, we indulge in our pillow fights and he smacks me in front of people. It’s the best way as to become lifelong partners, you have to first be each other’s best friends."
Shoaib proposed his lady-love on national television, while they both were doing a dance reality show, Nach Baliye 8. Sharing her feelings about it, Dipika was quoted as saying, “It will not be possible for me to express what I felt that time. He proposed to me after our performance. It was a very emotional moment for us. He was emotional, I was emotional.” Dipika also revealed that she does not want a big fat wedding, she has got her dream man, and now there’s nothing else that she wants. Speaking about the love of his life, Shoaib stated, “She is really different. Not at all demanding, I must say. If I had given her a ring made of paper, she would have still been happy.
