In 2015, Ex Bigg Boss contestant Praneet Bhat tied the knot with his long-time girlfriend, Kanchan Sharma. Praneet was known for his role as Shakuni mama (know why Women Like Naughty Men) in the television remake of Mahabharat.
The two had been dating for five years before they tied the nuptial knot. The wedding ceremonies took place in Lucknow and Jammu, and each function was a private affair, with only close friends and family members of the couple in attendance.

While Praneet is a known face in the world of Indian television, Kanchan is a stylist by profession. They met each other while doing theatre. Praneet was bowled over by Kanchan right there. She is a passionate theatre artist as well, according to Praneet.

Praneet was quoted by TOI (Times Of India):
It was love at first sight for me and I proposed to her. It took her over a year to accept it as she wanted to be sure of my intentions. I told her that it wasn't a fling for me and that I wanted to marry her. She is a passionate theatre artiste and a stylist. In fact, she has contributed to my wedding trousseau, too.

The seven-day long wedding functions started on November 1, and will continue till November 7. There was a sangeet ceremony on November 1, 2015, followed by havan on November 2 and 3, in Jammu. The pheras took place in the bride’s home town, Lucknow on November 4. There will be a reception party on November 7, in Jammu. Praneet’s colleagues from Mahabharat and Bigg Boss are expected to be in attendance.

The couple went for a honeymoon later in Europe.
