Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan are one of the most adorable couples in the entertainment industry. For the unversed, it was on April 20, 2007, when Aishwarya and Abhishek exchanged their vows in a grand wedding ceremony. Later, on November 16, 2011, the duo welcomed their daughter, Aaradhya Bachchan. Aishwarya Rai is a doting bahu of the Bachchan family, and it was in no time that she became a vital part of the clan and completely gelled with them.
During her appearance in one of the episodes of the second season of Famously Filmfare, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan reminisced how her and Abhishek's roka ceremony happened suddenly after he proposed to her. However, being a South Indian, Aishwarya didn't know what a roka was before her marriage, and Abhishek informed her that they were coming to her place. She could be heard saying:
"I didn't even know there's something called a 'roka' ceremony. We are South Indians, so, I don't know what a 'roka' is and suddenly there is this call from their house to ours; 'we are coming'. And we were like, okay. And I'm like, dad? He was like; it will take him one more day (to come)."

When Abhishek Bachchan, along with his parents, Amitabh and Jaya Bachchan, were all set to come down to Aishwarya's place, her father wasn't in town. The 50-year-old actress shared that her roka happened while her father was on a call with them. In Aishwarya's words:
"Abhishek was like 'we are all coming and I can't stop dad. We are on our way. We are coming to your place'. I'm like, 'Oh my God!' So, this 'roka' is happening with a call to my father, who is out of town."
Aishwarya further added that she had no idea what was happening and she asked her mother, Brindya Rai, if she had got engaged to Abhishek. The actress shared that the Bachchans were quite emotional while the proceedings took place, while she and her mother were absolutely clueless. She said:
"Mum is here, we are here. They've all arrived home, they are emotional and all. I'm like, 'Oh my God, it's happening.' Then it's like, 'come on, let's go home'. I'm like, 'Mom, okay... is this...is this an engagement? Like, what just happened?"

Now that Aishwarya Rai's video has resurfaced online, netizens have reacted to the same. As Abhishek and Aishwarya's divorce rumours have been doing rounds on social media, netizens are shocked to see how the Bachchans were in a hurry to make the actress their bahu. Reacting to the video, one user commented, "The fact they rushed it like this, red flag, they couldn’t wait for her father… lol okay." Another penned, "I find this very disrespectful. Should have waited for her dad to arrive."
