Lara had earlier dated a Bhutanese Mumbai-based model, Kelly Dorji for 9 years. Her relationship had lasted for 3 years before she had parted ways with Kelly.
After breaking up with Kelly, Lara had started dating Dino Morea. But Dino’s ex-gf, Nandita Mahanti would openly flirt with him and he had never stopped her. That's when Lara had parted ways with him.
Mahesh Bhupathi was earlier married to a model, Shvetha Jaishankar. After 7 years of marriage, Mahesh and Shvetha got divorced amicably in 2009.

A year after their wedding, on January 20, 2012, Lara Dutta and Mahesh Bhupathi had become proud parents to their little munchkin, Saira Bhupathi.
