It has been months since the worldwide pandemic was announced and finally, when the lockdown got lifted with some restrictions, we still don't have a normal life. Naveen Kumar Gowda, often known by his stage name Yash is a Sandalwood actor, was in a relationship with his Mr. and Mrs. Ramachari co-star, Radhika Pandit. It was after getting engaged and before getting married when Yash and Radhika had made their relationship official in the media and finally in a private ceremony in Bangalore, the lovebirds had tied the knot. Yash's ardent fans have been waiting for his film, K.G.F: Chapter 2 to release soon, which was originally slated for 2020. But due to the pandemic, everyone's work has been put on hold.
Now that the Karnataka government has given a nod for shooting to begin but only after adhering to strict guidelines, Yash believes that his wife, Radhika Pandit has something to do with the ideal working rules imposed on everyone. In a hilarious post, Yash wrote, "Karnataka Government has set new lockdown rules and don't know why, seems like my wife had something to do with it! Back home at 8pm everyday and Sundays complete lockdown!! Anyway.. these wife friendly rules will help us keep the Sanity and Safety both!! Tc guys. @iamradhikapandit."
Do you know the proposal scene in Mr. and Mrs. Ramachari was a gift from Yash to his ladylove, Radhika? In an interview with The Times Of India, when Radhika was quizzed on how her then-beau, Yash had proposed her, she had retorted, "We're both from the industry and we have seen drama on screen. But, this wasn't anything like that. Yash asked me over the phone and that's how it unfolded. I did take my time. I don't even sign my films immediately and this was saying yes to marriage." Revealing his secret gift for Radhika, Yash had continued, "This is the only grouse she has, which is that I didn't do the proposal in a dramatic way. But, a little known secret is that the proposal scene in Mr & Mrs Ramachari was a gift from my side to her." Yash had saved Radhika Pandit's contact on his phone with a cute name and revealing the story behind it which goes to their proposal time, he had remarked, "I used to tell her that I've tried all that, but she doesn't get the hint. I think she is a buddhu (stupid person). I still have her number stored as Buddhu on my phone. I was very sure of what was happening. I wanted to propose to her, but I wasn't very confident. This was because I was scared, since we had been such good friends and I didn't want to lose that, because it was special. But, one Valentine's Day, I decided that this was it ' I would propose to her and decided to find out where she was. I asked her where she was and she told me she was going to a Koramangala mall to watch a movie. I had this gut feeling that I should propose to her at this moment. I knew she was there, so I decided to go to the mall. I wanted to give her a special gift of all the things she liked. There were some readymade baskets of things, but they didn't impress me. Hence, I began putting together all the things that she liked, like carnations, chocolates and soft toys."
Yash and Radhika Pandit are exemplars of the relationship of being best friends before marriage. Revealing that everything happened between them organically, Radhika had shared in the interview, "We have been the best of friends for a decade, ever since we began working together. It was around five years ago that we realized there is more to our friendship. This happened organically and the decision to get married too has happened in a similar manner."
Yash and Radhika have been happily knitting their 'forever' journey with their little ones, a daughter, Ayra (2018) and a son, Ayush (2019). After teasing their fans with glimpses of their second-born, Yash and Radhika had finally delighted them with the little one's first-ever picture. When Ayush had competed 6 months, Radhika and Yash had posted the first picture of their baby boy and had captioned it, “Presenting the apple of my eye, the rainbow of our family… and sure to be Mama's boy our lil Junior. Do give him all your love and blessings!!” and “Say hello to my little buddy for life. Do give him all your love and blessings” respectively.
