Bollywood actress, Yami Gautam had taken everyone by surprise last year when she had announced her wedding with the filmmaker, Aditya Dhar. The lovebirds had sealed the deal in an intimate ceremony, which was attended by their families and close friends. Soon after her wedding, Yami had resumed work and has some very interesting projects in the pipeline. She will be next seen in the film, A Thursday, which has been directed by Behzad Khambata.
For the unversed, Yami Gautam and Aditya Dhar had become friends while shooting URI: The Surgical Strike. That friendship had bloomed into love, and finally, they had decided to take the plunge. On June 4, 2021, Yami Gautam had tied the knot with her husband, Aditya Dhar, and had surprised her fans by announcing the news of their wedding. Sharing a photo from the wedding, Yami had written:
"In your light, I learn to love - Rumi. With the blessings of our family, we have tied the knot in an intimate wedding ceremony today. Being very private people, we celebrated this joyous occasion with our immediate family. As we embark on the journey of love and friendship, we seek all your blessings and good wishes. Love, Yami and Aditya."

In an interview with Zoom TV, Yami Gautam opened up about how she maintains a work-life balance amid her busy work schedule. The actress said that she and her husband, Aditya Dhar, respect each other's timelines and try to help each other in all the ways possible. She shared that she feels lucky to have got emotional support from Aditya and added:
"You got to do what you got to do. As I said, it's the best feeling when you come home to your family and it's the best feeling when you share that love and respect for each other's work and you respect each other's timelines and in fact, you help the other person in whatever best capacity you can and there is nothing more helpful than that emotional support and I am very lucky to have found it and I really value it, I cherish it."
Further in the interview, Yami said that for her the biggest vacation is being at her home and enjoying with her family. The actress added that though she likes to go on vacation, she avoids going there alone. Sharing that she needs her family all the time, Yami stated:
"I always believe that for me the biggest vacation is as soon as I reach home and of course, I want to go to my Himachal, you want to go to different places, it's always nice but you can't, and even if I go out, I still need my family. I can never be someone who can just take off for a vacation alone. I really need them and that is what keeps me going, nothing else."

On February 10, 2022, Aditya Dhar had taken to his Twitter handle and had posted the trailer of his wife, Yami Gautam's upcoming movie, A Thursday, on his feed. Sharing it, he had written a hilarious comment dedicated to his wife, Yami Gautam, along with an appreciation note for the whole cast. He had penned:
"Suddenly scared of sharing a home with you @yamigautam! Congratulations and the entire team of A Thursday. Can't wait!"
On November 28, 2021, Yami Gautam had celebrated her first birthday post-wedding with her family and hubby, Aditya Dhar. She had taken to her IG handle and had posted glimpses from the birthday celebrations. Along with it, she had penned a note of gratitude thanking Aditya for making her day special. In the first picture, Yami was seen cutting her birthday cake with Aditya and their family. The actress had looked stunning in a lavender-coloured top and sleeveless jacket and had also flaunted her Aatheru. Yami's note of gratitude could be read as:
"28.11.2021 has to be the most special day for me. Feeling extremely blessed! Gratitude to my beautiful family & especially my husband (I can say that out loud now Aditya) for making it so special. We should consider ourselves lucky that we are blessed with a family that is so selfless. Thank you, my extremely hard-working team that believes in me, tirelessly. Thank you to my amazing crew. Thank you for all the wishes from my colleagues, friends & members of fraternity and media houses etc. And a very special thank you to all the fans & fan-clubs! I am truly indebted by your love."
On the work front, Yami will be next seen in the movie, A Thursday, which is set to release on Disney + Hotstar on February 17, 2022.
