Born to Shakti Kapoor and Shivangi Kapoor, Shraddha had begun her acting career with a brief role in the film, Teen Patti, followed by her first leading role in Luv Ka The End. But it was the character of Aarohi in the romantic drama, Aashiqui 2, opposite Aditya Roy Kapur that had brought her wide recognition. Shraddha then went on to give some stellar performances in movies like Haider, Baaghi, Ek Villain, Stree, Saaho and Chhichhore.
As the stunning actress turned a year older today, we stumbled upon a throwback interview, where her father, Shakti Kapoor had revealed how he had made his daughter proud. In 2010, Shakti Kapoor had taken part in the reality show, Bigg Boss 5. After being voted out, Shakti had revealed that he had not joined the show to win but to show his children that he could stay away from alcohol. In an interview with Rediff, Shakti had talked about the same and had revealed, “I was not there to win but to prove to my children that I can stay away from alcohol for a month. I am proud that I could prove that. Also, they were happy that there were no fights in the house when I was the captain. Now my daughter Shraddha says that she wants to be born as my daughter even in her next life.”
On Shakti Kapoor’s 68th birthday, i.e., on September 3, 2020, Shraddha had penned an adorable birthday wish for her bappu. She had taken to her IG handle and had shared a throwback picture of him and had wished him in the quirkiest way possible. Her birthday wish could be read as "Birthday Baapu! @shaktikapoor. Happy birthday to my precious Baapu! Thank you for being my Superhero and the best father in the universe." Once in an interview with The Times of India, Shraddha Kapoor had shared that her mother thinks that she is the lucky mascot for her father's career in Bollywood. She had said, "My dad was already doing well when I was born, but my mom tells me I was the lucky mascot in his life and that after I was born, he did even better. I was lucky to have affluent parents. I am spoilt in the sense that my father has given me an expensive car even though I would have liked to have bought my own car. My dad wants to constantly pamper me and I have a constant friction with my parents on that, as I like to make it on my own. My dad is protective at a personal level, but professionally he gives me all the space. Now with my third film, they let me be a bit on my own. He is jovial and is good to hang out with and exuberates positive energy. He doesn't listen to me, even though I keep telling him things like his mom."
