Ever since the blockbuster film, The Kashmir Files, was released, filmmaker, Vivek Agnihotri and his wife, Pallavi Joshi have been facing huge controversies surrounding the film. Apart from that, he was also trolled by many netizens for showing secularism. However, he has also often given back sassily to the trollers. Once again, as Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone starred film, Pathaan's one song, Besharam Rang, was released, he made a secular comment on it. However, soon he was criticised for his hypocrisy. Not only that, but the netizens also mentioned his daughter, Mallika Agnihotri's pictures are donning Bikini and his earlier works regarding nudity.
On December 28, 2022, Vivek Agnihotri took to his Twitter handle and shared a clip from the film's song, Besharam Rang, along with the video of a small girl who was seen slamming the song. In the video shared by him from the 'Saved Culture' page, the little girl was seen explaining why so much nudity and obscenity are harmful to society. Then, adding fuel to it, Vivek penned a caption asking his fans and followers to boycott the film if they are secular.

Soon, netizens started hugely trolling Vivek for his comment on the song. Some reminded him of his daughter, Mallika Agnihotri's pictures donning Bikini at the beach. At the same time, some users called him a 'hypocrite' and pointed at his earlier works, like the film Hate Story and many more.
