All the television buffs (or reality ke keede to be more specific) always wait for the second half of the year when they get to watch two of the most entertaining celebrity reality shows, Nach Baliye and Bigg Boss. While we still have to wait for the latter to get aired on the small screen, Nach Baliye is already airing its ninth season currently. It is just the launch week and Nach Baliye season 9 is already grabbing good numbers as the reality show is topping the TRP charts.
This time it has come up with a unique format where even exes are participating. Vishal Aditya Singh and Madhurima Tuli are one amongst those ex celeb couples who have decided to groove together on stage. Though they have agreed upon participating on the show, but their differences are irreconcilable. Lately, Vishal was asked to give Madhurima a hug before their performance. But to everyone’s surprise, Vishal didn’t do that even after the mentor, Raveena Tandon’s requests.
Now, in an interview with The Times of India, Vishal Aditya Singh was asked about disrespecting Madhurima Tuli and Raveena Tandon by not hugging the former. The actor defended his act and was quoted as saying, "I am not short-tempered, stubborn or difficult to work with, it's just that I speak what I feel honest instead of being fake. Recently, there was an incident where Raveena Ma'am asked us Madhurima and me to hug and I said no.”
He further added that not hugging someone is not disrespecting and that he is not here to reignite the past equations. The actor shared, “Well, just because I said no to hug her doesn't mean I disrespected Raveena Ma'am or Madhurima. I am very clear that we are here together for a professional reason, so I don't see the need to hug. We are here to dance and perform together and maintain professional respect and not here to reignite the personal relationship or past equation. Yeh kya definition hai disrespect ki, hug Nahi Kiya toh anadar kiya. I respect women because what I am today, is just because of women around me, my mom, my sisters, my friends. So the last thing I will do is disrespect or abuse a woman."
Vishal and Madhurima are undoubtedly one of the most controversial exes of the show. Of late, rumours had it that the two had a huge fight during their rehearsals. A source had confirmed to Pinkvilla, "Madhurima and Vishal again had an argument on sets over something following which Vishal was seen walking out. The two keep bickering every now and then and the production is finding it difficult to deal with this set of ex-couple."
For the ones who don’t know, Vishal and Madhurma had declined the offer initially. In an interaction with The Indian Express, he was quoted as saying, "Honestly, I had initially declined the offer for I didn’t know how it will all get projected. On Indian television, there is always a fear of things being spiced up for drama. But I have worked with the Star team earlier in Kullfi Kumar Bajewala and even hosted a couple of segments in its in-house award shows. The team assured me that they wouldn’t use my past to create drama. They gave me that security and so I finally relented. I have always loved Nach Baliye, and I thought it was a big opportunity for me. I couldn’t let it go because of this one hindrance."
In the same interview, Vishal had also revealed the reason behind his breakup, and had shared, "We have not been in talking terms. Our relationship has been no less than a roller coaster ride. We would break up and then patch up often. I was actually clueless in the relationship. After a point, I was made to realise that I wasn’t worthy of her. That’s when I knew this was not meant to be. The time I was with her, I was always put down. I had lost all my positivity and the will to grow. Honestly, I wasn’t happy with her at all and knew she was not the right one."
