Their love story started with the summer of 2013 when they first met during an ad shoot, and it did not take too long for them to feel the sparks. While the two never shouted from the rooftops about their budding love, they neither tried to hide it in front of the media. However, they made sure to never let their relationship details become a daily scoop for the media mills to serve hot with breakfasts. And hence, they kept all the details of their 2017 wedding hidden from the gossipmongers, only to make it an inspiration for all the hopeless romantics.

Virat has always been a doting husband and his love can clearly be seen on his Instagram feed. He never misses a chance to shower love on his wife, Anushka. And on her 31st birthday, he did something super special. Virat organised a romantic date for his wifey and enjoyed a mesmerising sunset by the lakeside. According to reports, Virat had planned to sweep Anushka off her feet with a romantic dinner. A source had stated, “There is so much attention [being given] to them that they decided to make this celebration a private affair. They will spend the day with each other. With Virat free from IPL [Indian Premier League] duties today, he planned an intimate dinner for the two of them. He has locked the venue and a specially curated meal has been organised. Recently, Virat, who is playing in the IPL for his team Royal Challengers, had talked about his wife, and how she helps him switch off the stress. The cricketer was in conversation with AB de Villiers, and had shared, “I think over the last more than a year or so, the best thing to have happened to me is me getting married. It's literally changed my whole world. I have the most beautiful wife, the most beautiful person.”
Earlier, at India Today Mind Rocks 2018, Anushka had labelled her relationship with Virat ‘as normal as anyone else’s’, and had shared, “Both of us really love doing what we do professionally... We don't take our professions too seriously. We don't draw our identity only from that. We are very simple and like doing normal things. For the world, it is about our professions.
