Giving birth to a child is a life-changing moment for a woman as she too, takes another birth as a mother. Your partner, who helplessly watches you howl, moan and cry during the delivery. After witnessing that, you understand the true strength and divinity of women and why God created life inside them. It's because they are way stronger than us men. Happy Women's Day to the most fiercely, compassionate and strong woman of my life and to the one who's going to grow up to be like her mother. And also, a Happy Women’s Day to all the amazing women of the world.”

Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma

In 2018, Virat Kohli had paid tribute to the extraordinary woman of his life, Anushka Sharma by posting a video on his social media handles. Virat had said in his video, “Men and women aren’t equal. I really wish we were. Honestly, the fact is, it’s easier to be one than the other. Sexual harassment, discrimination, sexism, domestic abuse and threats of violence… and the list goes on. Despite all of this, women rise and shine in all walks of life. Still, think they are equal? No, they are better than equal. To all the women all around the world, I wish you all a very happy Women’s Day” and had captioned it as “Tag the extraordinary woman in your life who is #BetterThanEqual #Wrogn @anushkasharma.”

After the birth of his daughter, Vamika Sharma Kohli, Virat Kohli had expressed how it feels to be a father. To be there with Anushka Sharma when she gave birth to their first child, Vamika, Virat had taken paternity leaves and for that, he had to leave Australia after the first Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. In an interaction with Times Now, when Virat was asked how he had felt while leaving for India as the birth of his child was a big occasion but his team was also in a spot of bother, he had said, “The two cannot be compared. To me, to become a father has been and will remain the greatest moment of my life. That is something that has to be experienced to understand what I am saying. The connection with the team doesn’t go away in any situation, especially when you have given everything for the team, especially for the Test team for the last six years on a daily basis. Being motivated to take Test cricket on top, take Indian cricket on top and the whole group has put in so much effort.” (Also Read: Harshdeep Kaur Shares The FIRST Glimpse Of Her Baby Boy, Looks Adorable Wrapped In His Parent's Arms)
