Anushka and Virat had ‘promised each other to be bound in love forever’ on December 11, 2017, after all the speculations. During the lockdown 2020, in a live IG session with Virat Kohli, Indian football team captain, Sunil Chhetri had revealed that during a trip to Bhutan in 2019, Virat had left his wife, Anushka Sharma behind in a cycle expedition because of a fan. Revealing the details of the expedition and why his fan had made him leave Anushka, Virat had said, "We went there very discreetly and there were a lot of Indian tourists. So our guide was with Anushka, and I was on a bike because I was cycling fast. So there was a crowd there and someone looked at me and shouted that 'he looks like Virat Kohli'. I don't know what happened to me that I cycled so fast and when I looked back, she was not there." Well, Virat had left Anushka behind in the cycle expedition because a fan of him had recognised him. To this, Anushka had a savage response as recalled by Virat. He had shared, “When I realised Anushka was left behind, I made a U-turn. And she acted as if she does not know me. I was saying sorry and she was not even looking at me.”
In the same conversation, Chetri had also cornered the Indian skipper, Virat as he had revealed that once he had gone all the way to London to meet his wife, Anushka Sharma during one of her shoots but had fallen asleep. On which, Virat had quickly replied and had said that he was jet-lagged but his doting wife had jumped straight in between the conversation and had called him “Jhootha”.
