Although, Vikrant Massey had made his television debut in 2004 with the serial Kahaan Hoon Main, he got his recognition in 2009 with the serial, Balika Vadhu. He had made his Bollywood debut in 2013 with the film, Lootera which was followed by films like Dil Dhadakne Do, A Death In The Gunj, Half Girlfriend. His much-acclaimed latest release Chhapaak opposite Deepika Padukone, based on the story of an acid attack survivor, Laxmi Agarwal was also well received among audiences and critics. He is not only riding high professionally but in his personal life too, as he is happily rokafied with his long-time girlfriend, Sheetal Thakur and is making most of his courtship period.
On April 3, 2020, Vikrant turned a year older and the handsome actor revealed how he will celebrate his 33rd birthday. In an interview with Mumbai Mirror, Vikrant revealed that he is all set to spend his birthday with his mother and fiancée, Sheetal Thakur due to the ongoing lockdown. Talking about the same, he said, “I have been spending my birthday on the sets for the past six-seven years. Since 2018, I have mostly been out of the city, as most of my films have been shot outdoors. After two years, I’m home for longer than a week. I’ll cook pavbhaji, I have bought all its ingredients, and maybe kheer as well. But probably, my mother and Sheetal will end up doing all the cooking.”
When asked how is he managing his time amidst the COVID-19 lockdown. Vikrant revealed that the ongoing lockdown doesn’t bother him as he is using most of his time by indulging in household chores. He also stated that he spends his time by reading scripts, writing in his journal and reading his favourite books. Sometime back, there were speculations about Vikrant Massey and his girlfriend, Sheetal Thakur had an intimate roka ceremony. Later, in an interview with Koimoi, Vikrant had confirmed his roka with Sheetal and had stated, "We will speak about this at the right time. Yes, we had a private ceremony at the house. Marriage is a topic we can talk later about." Speaking about working with Sheetal in his latest project, Vikrant shared that he channelizes his real-life emotions into many scenes which had helped him with his acting. He continued, "Her presence in my real life really benefitted her presence in my reel life."
On November 22, 2019, Sheetal had turned 27 and Vikrant had made sure to make it a special day for her. As a super-adorable birthday wish for her, Vikrant had written, "Happiest birthday Chintu! Thank you for coming into this world", followed by a heart emoji. A day later, Sheetal had posted pictures from her birthday celebrations, and with Vikrant’s gestures it is quite evident that he just couldn’t get over the birthday girl.
