Popular actress, Nayanthara has proved her acting prowess in more than 80 films in the South film industry. Talking about her personal life, she is in a steady relationship with director, Vignesh Shivan. For the unversed, it was in 2016, when Nayanthara was cast as the leading actress of Vignesh's directorial film, Naanum Rowdy Dhaan, and they had fallen in love with each other. Since then, the two are often seen sharing mushy moments and PDAs with each other on their respective social media handles.
The power couple of Tollywood, Nayanthara and Vignesh Shivan's engagement rumours had kick-started on March 25, 2021, when he had taken to his IG handle and had posted a picture of his girlfriend's hand placed on his chest. In the picture, Nayanthara could be seen wearing a ring, which had looked like a wedding ring. He had captioned the picture in Tamil, which could be read as:
"Viralodu uyir kooda korthu (Tied my lifeline to my fingers)."

A few hours ago, Vignesh Shivan took his IG handle and shared an unseen picture with Nayanthara from the airport, mostly during their last trip to Dubai. In the picture, the power couple was seen twinning in black, where Nayanthara opted for a black dress with white stripes paired with a black sunglass, Vignesh donned a blue T-shirt with a black jacket and black goggles. Vignesh captioned the cosy selfie as:
"#throwbackthursday."
At the beginning of 2022, Nayanthara and Vignesh Shivan were in Dubai to welcome the New Year in style. On December 31, 2021, Vignesh had shared a series of videos on his Instagram stories, in which he gave their massive fanbase had a sneak peek inside their lavish New Year celebration. The glimpses from their dreamy vacation in Dubai had proven that the star couple had chosen one of the best places on the planet to celebrate the New Year 2022.
On October 21, 2021, Vignesh Shivan and Nayanthara had completed six years of togetherness and to mark the special occasion, Vignesh had shared some unseen pictures with his ladylove. Vignesh had taken to his IG handle and had shared adorable pictures with Nayanthara and had written:

It was on August 10, 2021, when regional television broadcaster, Star Vijay had dropped a video clip from one of their shows on their official Instagram handle, in which we could see Nayanthara. The host had asked her about her engagement reports, and the ring she was wearing on her finger in the promo. The actress had blushed and had confirmed that it was her engagement ring.
On the work front, Nayanthara will be next seen in the upcoming film, Kaathu Vaakula Reandu Kadhal, directed by Vignesh Shivan.
