With the COVID-19 pandemic coming into the scenario, the concept of a lavish Indian wedding is no more persistent as there is a limitation on the number of guests that can be invited. However, brides are in no way losing the spirit and are tying the knot, even if that involves very close family members only. Moreover, if the bride is an actress, that calls for selecting one of the best outfits and that too from the best fashion labels.
Not just the outfit, but everything about a celebrity's wedding is worth turning heads and taking inspiration from! Our bride of the week is not just a celebrity with a huge fan following, but her love story with her now-husband is very inspiring and breaks our notion that true love cannot be found on dating apps. Therefore, from having busy shooting schedules and thinking that love is not meant for her to getting married to the 'Mr Right', Vidyu Raman's love story is worth appreciation.
Our bride is none other than the South Indian actress, Vidyu Raman, who has featured in several Tamil and Telegu films like Neethaane En Ponvasantham, Run Raja Run, Ramayya Vasthavayya, Alludu Adhurs, Howrah Bridge and Savyasachi, and won the hearts of millions of people. The actress had found love in a fitness expert, Sanjay Watwani and had tied the knot on September 9, 2021. For her wedding, she had opted for a red lehenga from the shelves of the fashion designer, Tarun Tahiliani. The couple had preferred to have a low-key and intimate wedding ceremony. Her husband had complemented her in cream-coloured sherwani and a maroon dupatta. Adorning a nath, maang teeka and a heavy neckpiece with matching earrings, the actress had stolen the show.
On September 17, 2021, Vidyu Raman had taken to her IG handle to share the news of her wedding with her fans. Sharing the picture from her Sindhi style wedding, Vidyu Raman had captioned it as ''9.9.21 @lowcarb.india.'' In a 'QnA' session hosted on her IG handle, when a user asked her as to which style wedding she and her husband had, she disclosed that it was in both Tamil and Sindhi styles. She answered, ''As my husband is a Sindhi and I'm Tamil we got married in both styles on 09.09.2021. Tamil during the day and Sindhi during the evening.''
Just like her wedding, pictures from Vidyu Raman's mehendi ceremony are sure to exude some styling goals for all the would-be brides. Though the actress had an intimate wedding ceremony, the relatives were seen to rejoice to the fullest on her pre-wedding festivities. The actress had chosen a yellow and grey coloured lehenga for her mehendi ceremony, and the skirt was full of floral prints. To go with her attire, she had paired a neckpiece, maang teeka and earrings. For makeup, she had kohl-rimmed eyes, a nude lip shade and blush on her cheeks. Her cousin and director, Gitanjali Selvaraghavan had treated us to some glimpses of the actress' mehendi ceremony.
The beautiful actress got engaged to her entrepreneur fiancé, Sanjay on August 26, 2020, and had taken to her Instagram handle to share glimpses from her roka ceremony. Alongside the pictures, she had written, ''We got Roka-Ed! @lowcarb.india & I had our Roka Ceremony (formal announcement) on 26.08.2020 in an intimate manner with close family around us. It was our lil’ ray of sunshine & we couldn’t be more grateful for the love we received. We wore masks & removed them for the pictures (before anyone asks!) Thank you all so much for showering us with your best wishes! The best is yet to come.”
Vidyu Raman and her fitness expert and entrepreneur husband, Sanjay Watwani, had taken to their respective IG handles to share their love story. The couple, who had met in 2019 on the Bumble app, had found love within each other. From their first date, the realisation of falling in love and how it was like to date in the pandemic, the actress shared all of it. The way this cute couple express their love for each other is pure goals, and every girl would dream to get a life partner like Sanjay, who understands and respects his wife like no other.
Well, Vidyu Raman's wedding ensembles were worth taking inspiration from. Our personal favourite was the red lehenga with heavy embroidery work from Tarun Tahiliani. Which one did you like the most? Let us know!
