Bigg Boss OTT winner, Divya Agarwal garnered a lot of limelight recently as she announced her engagement with her boyfriend, Apurva Padgaonkar on her 30th birthday. For the unversed, Divya's beau, Apurva made a dreamy proposal for her on December 4, 2022, and the actress immediately said 'Yes'. This news came as a shocker for her fans as they were hoping that she would reconcile with her ex-boyfriend, Varun Sood.
Soon after Divya announced her engagement, Varun started posting cryptic posts on his social media handle. Now, the actor has finally reacted to his ex-girlfriend's 'big news' and revealed that he is happy for her. In an interview with the ETimes, Varun Sood congratulated Divya and her fiance, Apurva Padgaonkar, for their new beginnings and also wished them the best for the future. In his words:
"I would like to congratulate the couple. I wish them all the best."

Further in the interview, the actor went on to reveal if any of his social media posts had a connection to Divya's engagement or their breakup. Talking about the same, he said that his posts were related to the projects that he had signed, and none of them was related to anyone. In his words:
"The song that I posted recently has been sung by a very good friend of mine. And even earlier, when I posted a calm emoji, it was about a few projects that I signed. It was not hinted at anyone or any event happening in anyone's life. None of my posts or tweets is related to anyone."
Divya Agarwal and Varun Sood met on the reality show, MTV Ace of Space, and soon, they became friends and formed an inseparable bond. It was during one of the episodes of the reality show when Varun popped the million-dollar question to Divya and expressed his love for her. However, the Splitsvilla 10 fame was stunned by Varun's gesture and even threatened him that her dad would file a case against him if he were doing it for a publicity stunt. But he convinced Divya that he truly loved her and wanted to date her in real life.
Divya and Varun dated each other for almost four years, and while their fans were waiting for them to tie the knot, the duo parted ways in March 2022. It was in one of her posts on her IG handle that Divya confirmed that she and Varun are no longer together. Moreover, once in an interview with the Hindustan Times, she also revealed the reason behind their separation. Mentioning that she could not see a future with Varun, the actress shared that she felt that it was better to end the chapter on a good note. However, she also faced backlash from social media users for her decision.
On December 8, 2022, Divya posted two candid pictures with her fiance, Apurva, from their dreamy proposal on her Twitter handle. Dressed in a shimmery purple dress, Divya flaunted her gold engagement ring, which read ‘Baiko’. Sharing the picture, Divya revealed that it had been 7 years with her raw and unfiltered man, Apurva, and thanked God for giving her a happy family. Remembering her late dad on her special day, Divya hugged her brother and was seen comforting her mom as the latter broke into tears. However, when the photos went viral, netizens were quick to ask Divya if she had ever loved Varun Sood as she moved on from him pretty quickly, while some fans supported her decision to start her life again.
On the work front, Varun Sood was last seen in the film, JugJugg Jeeyo.
