Ever since Anupamaa aired on Star Plus in 2020, the show has been lauded for being one of the daily soaps which make sense and bring up essential topics on national television. Starting from the lead actress, Rupali Ganguly to the negative role played by Madalsa Sharma, the cast of the show has garnered enough popularity over the years, and a few of the leading actors even charge lakhs of rupees as their fee.
Being a part of a beautiful show like Anupamaa has become a dream for many television personalities. However, a recent report suggested that Urfi Javed had declined to be a part of the show because of her ex-boyfriend, Paras Kalnawat. For the unversed, Urfi had been in a stable relationship with Paras Kalnawat, before parting ways in 2017. Earlier, in many interviews, Urfi had shared how her relationship with him was a childhood mistake. She had shared that Paras had tried to woo her by having three tattoos of her name on his body.

According to a recent report in Bollywood Life, a source suggested that the pap's favourite model, Urfi Javed was supposed to be a part of the show, Anupamaa. However, it was allegedly because of her ex-boyfriend, Paras Kalnawat’s possessive nature that she could not sign the show. When Paras was contacted by Bollywood Life to speak on the ongoing rumours about him, he said:
"When I see people speaking about me I take it very calmly. I think to myself that if this person is finding happiness by saying all this about me, I'd rather find happiness in their happiness. All this does not affect me at all."
A while ago, the show, Anupamaa had made headlines as Paras Kalnawat, who played Rupali Ganguly’s on-screen son, Samar Shah stepped out of the show to participate in Jhalak Dhikla Jaa. The producer of Anupamaa, Rajan Shahi had clarified that he had to terminate the contract with Paras because he violated contract clauses by participating in a rivalry channel’s dance show. After which, Paras had shared his part of the story and had said:
“Everything is great with Anupamaa but I did not see my character evolving. I have huge respect for Rajan sir and the team and wish them all the best. At this stage of my career, I wanted to take up a new challenge. Also, I must add that I did inform the production about my decision, however, due to the channel and contract clauses, it wouldn’t have been possible for me to continue with Anupamaa after signing Jhalak.”

On November 2017, in an interaction with a media portal, Urfi Javed had confirmed her three months relationship with her ex-beau, Paras. During the conversation, she had explained how she is the complete opposite person to Paras, and they were the perfect example of opposites attract. In her words:
“It has been three months that we are dating. Paras and I are very different persons. He is vegetarian and I am non-vegetarian. I like to party wherein he doesn’t like to socialise more. We are a perfect example of the phrase "opposite attracts." Just because, Paras doesn’t like to party we will spend a quiet birthday.”
