It is a celebration time for Ram Charan as he and his film directed by SS Rajamouli created history at the Oscars awards 2023. The film's title track, Naatu Naatu won the golden trophy for Best Original Song at the 95th Academy Awards. To support and cheer Ram Charan, his wife, Upasana Kamineni was also present at the event. And oh boy, Upasana left everyone stunned with her handwoven silk saree and statement jewellery that took four years to be made.
It is a proud moment for India, as the RRR film is bringing the first Oscars to India. Ram Charan's wife, Upasana Kamineni, who is six months also attended the prestigious awards. Upasana didn't opt for a designer gown, but rather she flaunted the Indian tradition by donning a saree. She wore a golden-hued handwoven silk saree made by Jayanti Reddy.

However, the highlight of Upasana's look was her statement jewellery. You won't believe it took four years for Upasana's statement neckpiece to be made by Mumbai-based designer, Bina Goenka. The Lilium neckpiece was created using natural pearls and approximately 400 carats of high-quality rubies. She wore matching earrings.
Upasana completed her look with subtle dewy makeup with soft kohl-filled eyes, defied brows, and hair tied in a loose bun. Sharing the pictures from her Oscars look, she penned a heartfelt thank you to everyone who helped her create this beautiful look. An excerpt from a long note can be read as:
"I truly appreciate the hard work, dedication, passion and labour of love that have gone into creating these beautiful pieces for me. It’s the intricate attention to detail that sets this look apart from the rest."
For those who don't know, it was in December 2022, Upasana and Ram announced their pregnancy with a cutesy note. The couple tied the knot on June 14, 2012, and after 11 years, they hopped on their parenthood journey. Their pregnancy announcement featured the photograph of Lord Hanuman, and Ram Charan shared that they are soon going welcome their first child. The note could be read as:
“With the blessings of Shri Hanuman Ji, we are delighted to share that Upasana and Ram Charan are expecting their first child. With love and gratitude, Surekha and Chiranjeevi Konidela, Shobana and Anil Kamineni.”
