Parents are a blessing in disguise. We live for them and they live for us. The unconditional love that we get from our parents is nowhere to be found. And if God snatches any one of them from us, it is probably the worst thing ever. There is a certain void that is left in our lives and no one can fill it. Famous B-town actress-turned-author, Twinkle Khanna feels exactly the same void as she lost her father, Rajesh Khanna.
It was on July 18, 2012, that the shocking news of Rajesh Khanna’s death came around. And ever since, the void has not only been in the lives of the Khannas, but the B-town too lost a gem of a legendary actor. Rajesh ji’s death was mourned by the entire industry and he was given a heartwarming farewell by all his well-wishers. Yesterday, on July 18, 2019, it was Rajesh ji’s seventh death anniversary and Twinkle wrote a heartwarming note remembering him. Sharing a throwback black and white picture, Twinkle wrote, “Still lives on-in my heart and within all the millions who made space for him in theirs.” Checkout:
In an earlier interview with the IANS, Twinkle had spoken about how her father always motivated her to write. Do you know Twinkle Khanna and Rajesh Khanna share their birthdays? Yes, this lovely father-daughter duo celebrates their birthday on the same day, i.e., December 29. In fact, on the last birthday, on December 29, 2018, Akshay Kumar had taken to his Instagram to wish both of them. He had written, “While growing up I’d heard fascinating tales of his superstardom, never imagining one day I’ll marry his fascinating daughter...thank you for giving me this precious one. Happy birthday to both of you.”
Commenting on his equation with his father-in-law, Akshay had once shared, "I knew him even before I met Tina. He was a producer and in my struggling days, I had visited his office 5-6 times to look for work. On one of my visits, he told me that he was making a film with Chunky Pandasy, post which I should come to him. We would call each other Buddies and he would often say, ‘Buddy what are you doing?’ He was a chilled out mind. I still remember the last holiday when we went with the family to Goa and can never forget that holiday. Even though he was very sick we took him along and even in that state, he would enjoy his alcohol and why not? What I liked most about him was that he was very lion-hearted and he was a yaron ka yaar. Jo bol diya soh kar diya. He liked the fact that I was taking good care of his daughter and he loved my son Aarav a lot." (Do Read: Shah Rukh Khan Is Holidaying With His Kids, Aryan, Suhana And AbRam In Maldives)

Rajesh ji, you will be in our hearts for life and beyond!
