Real-life bride, Ankita Grover broke all the stereotypes and opted for not-so-traditional jewellery. Real-life bride, Ankita Grover opted for a contrasting everything for her final day. From ditching the traditional red chooda and opting for a two-toned one to going all the way out in selecting contrasting jewellery, Ankita gave major goals to all the brides-to-be for their final day. For her wedding, she opted for a heavy jaal work red-coloured lehenga by Asiana Couture and her statement blouse was making her entire outfit stand out. For her matching red-coloured blouse, Ankita opted for an off-shoulder design with golden-coloured pearl tassels all over it. On the other hand, her then-would-be-hubby, Rajat perfectly complemented her in a pastel green-coloured sherwani and added a red-coloured scarf and saafa to give his outfit right amount of colour.
Before any Punjabi wedding, the chooda ceremony plays an important part. The significance of chooda ceremony is to provide good wishes to the bride and to remind her of her cousins and friends, whom she is going to leave behind when she gets married. Chooda adds a different charm in a bride’s overall look. Ditching the traditional and single-coloured chooda, Ankita went for a two-toned one. Her modern chooda consisted of red and maroon colour and looked pretty to the eyes. The contrasting colours of the chooda went pretty well with her overall red and golden-coloured lehenga. In an Indian wedding, a bride look remains incomplete without the perfect piece of jewellery. Usually, brides opt for a traditional piece of jewellery for their D-day matching their traditional lehenga. However, now millennial brides are opting for different styles of jewellery and giving their entire look a little more oomph factor. Ditching the trend, real-life bride, Ankita Grover also opted for contrasting pieces of jewellery. She chose contrasting jewellery to give her look an edgy feeling. To complement her lehenga, she opted for a long gold multi-stringed necklace with silver and gold choker which gave her the required feel of edgy yet traditional. She completed her look with a multi-coloured silver maang teeka, heavy gold chaandbali and big silver rings.
Makeup can either add extra glam to your entire look or can ruin it completely. Makeup is something which is very essential for a bride on her wedding. From clicking perfect pictures to greeting guests and staying awake for almost the entire night, the makeup has to be on top and should stick for the entire ceremony. To accentuate her look, Ankita went for a messy hair bun with a perfect mix of red-and-white-coloured roses in her hair. For her makeup, Ankita opted for bold smokey eyes with heavy eyelashes and nude pink lips. And following her trend of ditching traditional, she opted for a blue-coloured nail paint on her wedding.
