This Bride Wore A Lehenga Similar To Priyanka Chopra's Mehendi Lehenga, But Added A Side Slit To It

The journey from 'Miss to Mrs' is a saga of emotions. The joy of being a 'bride' to the pain of saying goodbye to your 'family' is not at all easy. After all, a wedding in our culture is the biggest turning point in a girl's life. From the moment a bride steps into the phoolon ki chadar wearing the prettiest lehenga to the moment the groom puts sindoor, it is all a start of a new dawn. It hurts to see the young one leave the nest in order to make her own world. (Recommend Read: This Soul-Stirring Version Of 'Din Shagna Da' Is What Every Bride Would Want At Her Entry)

While the entire experience of planning a wedding seems stressful, it brings the entire family together. Over the past years, the wedding trends have changed, brides are more aware of what they want to wear on their big day and the grooms are happily coordinating their outfits with their 'to-be-wives'. And thanks to the celebrity brides, we have a plethora of ideas to choose from. Recently, we spotted a bride who donned a lehenga similar to Priyanka Chopra Jonas' mehendi lehenga and added a modern touch to it.

Mehendi function is often considered a ghar-ka function and brides are advised to wear their old clothes to stay away from the hassles. But the millennial brides want everything on-point and they are setting a trend with their prettiest mehendi attires. And this week's bride, Drishti Vidhani, opted for a gorgeous celebrity-inspired mehendi ensemble. Remember, last year Bollywood actress, Priyanaka Chopra had left everyone gapping when she had tied the knot with Nick Jonas in an intimate wedding. While Priyanka's every look became a rage in the bridal world, her mehendi lehenga by designer duo, Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla was loved by all. The Aztec print lehenga had the right shade of pink, yellow and green to it that made it mehendi appropriate.  (Also Read: This Bride Opts For White Bridal Chooda With Sabyasachi Bridal Lehenga, Proves White Is The New Red)

However, Drishti's mehendi outfit design by the same designer, (Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla) featured shades of yellow, pink and blue. But what took our breath away was the lehenga skirt featuring a thigh-high slit. She teamed the lehenga with a halter neck-choli and sheer yellow dupatta. The side-slit made her comfortable to twirl in the lehenga with mehendi-clad feet. She completed the look with matching Aztec print juttis and minimal makeup.

Drishti Mulchandi tied the knot with the 'man of her dreams', Deepak Vidhani in Jaipur at JW Marriot Resort. The bride opted for the most beautiful mehendi design for her D-day that represented a touch of Jaipur. The design featured the four phases of an Indian wedding- engagement, sindoor, varmala and pheras. Her mehndi also included her flight from London to San Francisco. The design was filled with peacocks and elephants, which are traditional to Jaipur.

For her sangeet ceremony, the bride opted for a shimmery deep-blue lehenga and oh boy, we totally love the choli design. The outfit featured a shimmery detail blue lehenga skirt which she teamed with a strappy blue choli and sheer dupatta. She accentuated her look with a diamond choker neckpiece, matching earrings and a minimalistic diamond maang teeka.

For her wedding day, Drishti set another trend by ditching the traditional red lehenga and donning a blush pink lehenga that complemented her beautifully. The outfit featured personalised details, her lehenga skirt consisted of a wedding procession intricately embroidered over the hem of lehenga skirt and a tagline that states, 'Drishti Weds Deepak' in the center. She accessorised her outfit with a polki choker neckpiece, a nath and a maang teeka. (Don't Miss: This Sikh Bride Wore A Signature 'Jaal' Embroidered Sabyasachi Lehenga With Minimal Jewellery)
