Taimur Ali Khan’s mommy, Kareena Kapoor Khan, had once commented on her son’s growing popularity and media’s obsession with him. She had told PTI, “I just don’t want him to be looked upon as a star-kid. I want him to grow up as normally as possible. I want to let him be just the way he is.”

The Nawab of Pataudi was quoted as saying, “During the day, he’s waddling around the house, but in the evening, when I dim the lights, light the candles, put on some music, he’s happy to sit quietly with Kareena and me, drinking his milk, soaking in the ambience. Once, mommy Kareena had expressed her disappointment over the constant scanner that Taimur is under, “I think it is a bit much, but there is nothing that I can do about it. But I would want him NOT to have so much attention. As parents, we do not say much, but we hope that he has as normal a childhood as I wanted him to have. Right now, he does not understand it (the media attention), but at some point we will make him understand it.”
Saif Ali Khan had recently shared that he wanted to use Taimur’s popularity to sell tickets for his movie. Saif had said, “My wife says, ‘Don’t be so cheap. You can’t sell your son (Taimur)’. I am like, ‘Why not? Let’s sell him’. Seriously yaar, he is anyway there on the internet. I am just using this platform to say if anybody has any good nappy ads or anything... at a very reasonable price...it’s not reasonable, it’s quite expensive actually. And, I won’t give him the money also. I’ll give him some cash for his education, I am already giving it to him.
