Taimur Ali Khan was spotted last night at the Mumbai Airport piggybacking on his dad, Saif's shoulders, and looked adorably excited and happy for his second birthday. While Saif sported a grey tracksuit, Kareena looked uber in her black outfit and denim jacket. Baby Taimur, on the other hand, wore a casual GAP tee and grey trousers. Taimur, Saif and Kareena have jetted off to South Africa where they will be away from the media glare and ring in Taimur's second birthday. Take a look:
A recent Filmfare report suggested that Kareena will join Saif and Taimur directly in South Africa. It was reported, "In the coming few days, Kareena will be leaving for South Africa due to her work commitments and later she will be joined by Saif and Taimur there. The idea of celebrating Taimur’s birthday there has got Kareena very excited. Unlike last year, they plan to keep it low-key and more private." Because Taimur will celebrate his second birthday in South Africa, mommy Kareena and papa Saif earlier organised a pre-birthday bash for him. And they invited all the industry celeb kids who are Taimur's friends. A Deccan Chronicle report had earlier suggested, "Taimur has his own friends in school now, plus many other pals from the film fraternity like AbRam (Shah Rukh Khan’s son), Laksshya (Tusshar Kapoor’s son), Aaradhya (Abhishek-Aishwarya Bachchan’s daughter), etc etc. Plus, there’s Taimur’s most favourite little sister Inaaya (Soha Ali Khan and Kunal Kemmu’s daughter). Also, Taimur now understands the nitty-gritty of birthday parties, the cake, candles, balloons, games. He will definitely have a party for his birthday this time."

Taimur's growing popularity has taken social media by storm. During promotions of his film, Bazaar, Saif had recently jokingly stated, “Every producer I am working with is half-jokingly say, "Haha can we put him (for promotions)". With white in his hair (referring to his look from Baazaar). With Kaalakaandi, they wanted to put rubber bands. In Hunter they want to put that Naga Sadhu wig on this poor guy”.
And further added, “My wife (Kareena Kapoor Khan) says, "Don't be so cheap. You can't sell your son (Taimur). I am like, "Why not? Let's sell him." Seriously yaar, he is any way there on the internet. I am just using this platform to say if anybody has any good nappy ads or anything, at a very reasonable price, it's not reasonable, it's quite expensive actually. And, I won't give him the money also. I'll give him some cash for his education, I am already giving it to him. And I'll spend the rest!”
Along the similar line, mommy Kareena shared in an interview, “Taimur can’t run away from his popularity and neither can his parents. When I saw the doll, I wondered what was I supposed to say. But Saif pointed out that it is because people love him so much and such things are a blessing for him. There is so much genuine warmth for our son that it’s bad to stop people from clicking his pictures or making his dolls. But, they should understand that he is a two-year-old child and needs a normal life. Both Saif and I are struggling to give him that and will continue to do so without telling the media to back off, no matter how annoying it gets after a point.
