Whenever we talk about Bollywood stars real-life love story, the one name that tops the list is that of the National Award winner, Ayushmann Khurrana and his wife, Tahira Kashyap. From being tuition mates to one of the adorable couples of Bollywood, Ayushmann and Tahira’s love story is nothing less than a fairy tale. They also had their fair share of ups and downs but have always managed to emerge as a true rockstar and have proved that if you love someone, nothing else matters. The year 2018 and the beginning of 2019, was not easy for Ayushmann Khurrana and his wife, Tahira Kashyap as the latter had suffered from the deadly disease, cancer. Tahira was diagnosed with breast cancer and had gone through treatment for recovery. From handling film promotions to being by his wife’s side, Ayushmann has emerged as a proficient and doting husband. Ayushmann stood like a pillar of strength with his wife, Tahira and she, on the other hand, she had taken the illness in a rather positive way and her Instagram posts were proof for the same.
Like everyone else, Ayushmann Khurrana and his wife, Tahira Kashyap have also jetted off to ring in New Year. The duo jetted off to Bahamas and Ayushmann shared the pictures from their beachy vacation. The duo looked adorable in their swimwear and gave perfect #CoupleGoals. On December 25, 2019, Tahira also took to her Instagram and shared a couple of solo pictures and recalled her journey post-cancer. She captioned the pictures as “Soaking up the Bahamian sun. last year I remember I posted I was working on self-acceptance and that I wish I could face the camera next time! Well, next time is here, and I am glad I am on this journey of acceptance and love #selfacceptance #nofilter #bahamas.”
In an interview with Pinkvilla, Ayushmann had shared what he went through after learning about Tahira’s cancer and how he had started looking at his life in a very different way. He was quoted as saying, "I think I have started looking life in a different way altogether. I'm more happy has a persona, I'm more patient as a person. Further talking about the silver lining in their scenario, Ayushmann had stated, “So, in the morning I used to promote my films and go back to the hospital in the night. I was sleepless for seven nights and seven days. It was not easy but since she was positive, she inspired me a lot. We were also lucky enough as we got to know about it at the early stage that's the silver lining. We decided to keep it positive."
Ayushmann Khurrana and Tahira Kashyap had their own share of ups and downs in their marriage. Do you know Tahira was insecure about Ayushmann’s entry in Bollywood? In an interview with Anupama Chopra, Tahira had talked about her insecurities when Ayushmann had entered Bollywood in the year 2012. She had candidly confessed, “I was this crazy, insecure pregnant person when Vicky Donor happened and that was the worst phase for both of us. I think both of us were very immature. He didn’t have the maturity to kind of hold my hand and tell me it’s ok, especially, when I am crazy on my hormones because I was pregnant at the time and I also didn’t have the maturity to just take it easy and know this thing will get over.”
She had further added, “Both of us lacked maturity. Then you also feel like a whale and considering your husband is with beautiful women all around and you don’t come from that background.
