Swara Bhaskar Travels Home To Meet Injured Mother, Admits Being Guilty For Not Being With Her

The situation is quite critical across the country, and every day, the number of fresh cases just keeps on rising. With nation-wide lockdown still going on, the government has provided some relaxations to the people. But there are still a lot of people, who aren't able to be with their families during this tough time. One such person is Bollywood actress, Swara Bhaskar, who was praying hard and waiting for these lockdown relaxations so that she can be with her mother, who lives in Delhi. The actress and doting daughter has reached Delhi after a 1400 km travel from Mumbai to be with her mother, Ira Bhaskar. The reason for her immediate travel was because her mother had injured herself last week.

As soon as the restrictions were eased across the nation, the actress didn’t waste any time in packing her bags and straight away travelled from Mumbai to Delhi. In an interview with Hindustan Times, Swara admitted that she was feeling guilty for not being with her mother in this painful time. She said, “I had been feeling both restless and guilty for not being in Delhi to help my mum. So when the movement was allowed, I got the necessary permissions and decided to go from Mumbai to Delhi by road. It was a mega two-day road trip with all my five pets - three cats, a kitten and one dog.” (Don’t Miss: Navya Nanda's Reaction On Rumoured BF, Meezaan's 'Bheegi Bheegi' Rendition Is All About 'Love')

Moving forward in the same interview, the actress also revealed everything in detail about her mother’s severe shoulder injury. She explained, “My mum fell and fractured her shoulder in her Delhi home last week and I have been in lockdown in Bombay worrying. It is a fracture of the collarbone and so, her whole torso is in a brace and she has to keep her right hand and right side of the torso immobilised.” There’s no doubt that Swara was in so much pain after hearing about the extent of her mother's injury. However, the actress also heaped praises on her sister-in-law, who took care of her mother, she said, “Luckily my sister-in-law was in Delhi and was able to move in and help my mom with daily tasks like changing and combing her hair.”

In the end, Swara Bhaskar also revealed that she didn’t tell her parents about her travel plans to Delhi because she knew that they’ll be worried about her. So, she kept it a secret from everyone at home and surprised them. The actress also revealed that she’s quite useless in the kitchen but combs her mother’s hair with sheer dedication. She said, “I didn’t tell my parents as I knew they would be worried and so when I arrived in Delhi, they were both taken totally by surprise. I am so glad to be with them and be able to help my mum a bit. I am useless in the kitchen but I comb her hair with great sincerity.”

Talking about Swara’s love life then the actress is no longer in a relationship with her long-term ex-beau and National award-winning writer, Himanshu Sharma. In an interview with the Pinkvilla, she had talked about it and had revealed, “I think you just have to sort of deal with it. In our case, it was very unfortunate. I didn’t have or I still didn’t have a lot of anger that could have helped me deal with it. Nobody did anything bad, nobody did anything wrong, nobody cheated on anyone. It was not those typical things, it was unfortunate.” Swara had concluded her statement with a small sentence in which she had said, “Itna hi tha humara journey.” (Also Read: Samantha Akkineni Repeats Her Sabyasachi Outfit For Best Friend, Rana Daggubati's 'Roka' Ceremony)
