Bollywood actress, Sushmita Sen is known for her fit-and-fine life and redefining the meaning of ageing backwards. For the unversed, she had adopted a beautiful daughter, Renee, in 2000, and had embraced motherhood for the first time. Later, she had welcomed her second daughter, Alisah, into her life in 2010. The 1994 Miss Universe titleholder, Sushmita was madly-in-love with a Noida-based model, Rohman Shawl, who was 15 years younger than her, in 2018.
It was when Sushmita Sen and Rohman Shawl's fans were expecting the couple to announce their wedding after a steady relationship for almost three years, the couple had decided to part their ways. In December 2021, Sushmita had issued a statement declaring her break up with her long term boyfriend, Rohman. Stating the facts, the actress had captioned the post as:

On March 21, 2022, Sushmita Sen along with her ex-boyfriend, Rohman Shawl, and younger daughter, Alisah Sen were spotted together by the paparazzi. In one of the videos shared by the media page, Viral Bhayani, the three of them were seen making their way towards their car. In the video, Rohman, who shares a good bond with his ex-girlfriend's daughters, was seen helping Alisah get inside the car. Later in the video, while the actress was seen getting crowded by her fans for selfies, it was Sushmita's ex-boyfriend, who was seen guarding her and escorting her towards the car. In another video, uploaded by the media page, Sushmita was seen sitting in the front seat of the car, while Rohman and Alisah sat in the back seat.
As soon as the videos surfaced on the internet, many of the netizens flooded the comment section questioning Sushmita Sen and her ex-boyfriend, Rohman Shawl's relationship. One user wrote, "Are but inka to breakup ho gya tha na.” Another user mentioned, “They are together again?” While one user commented, “Inka Breakup hua hai ki sirf limelight ke liye News kari gayi thi...Ye Humesha saath dikhayi dete hai...” Another user expressed his confusion and mentioned, “Breakup bhi karna sath bhi rehna h bahut confusion h.” And one more user wrote, “Abhi to breakup ka post kiya tha aur fir sath aa gaye ! Bahot confusion hai baba.” But many of Sushmita and Rohman's fans were happy to see them together. One user expressed his joy and wrote, “So so happy to see you together @sushmitasen47 @rohmanshawl! On January 9, 2022, Sushmita Sen had switched her workout pattern with a dance routine. She had shared a video on her IG handle where she was grooving with her daughters, Renee and Alisah, on Aya Nakamura's Copines. At the end of the clip, they had striked a goofy pose. As soon as she had uploaded the video, Sushmita Sen's ex-boyfriend, Rohman Shawl, had dropped an adorable comment and had added a love-struck emoji, which could be read as:
“Alisah Alisah all the way.”
In an interview with the Hindustan Times, Sushmita Sen had opened up about her breakup with Rohman Shawl and had shared how closure matters. Sushmita had further added that she couldn't sit and think about the terrible things that would affect her life at this age. She had shared:
"For me, closure is a big thing. When you are a public figure, the person involved with you is also in the public eye. Even if the person is there, because you have put them there. So, it is not fair for his life or your life to be stuck with everyone feeling something or thinking it's a relationship. Closure is important for both people so that they can move on in their lives. And yeah, the friendship always remains. At my age, if I sit and start thinking about the terrible things, it is really my life that I wasted."
