We have grown up watching our mothers obsessing over the Pavitra Rishta of Manav and Archana. We have seen how a television star had made it big in the Hindi film industry with his sheer talent and hard work. Sushant Singh Rajput made us believe in magic and dreams. 'Janam kab lena hai aur marna kab hai, hum decide nahi kar sakte' - we all had goosebumps hearing Sushant saying these lines in his last film, Dil Bechara slated to be released on July 24, 2020, on Disney+ Hotstar. It has been more than a month since Sushant Singh Rajput's demise by suicide and since then, there has been an ongoing debate in the industry and amongst fans if it was a murder or he had taken his life. Sushant's fans and family are finding it hard to believe that the actor found suicide to be his only way out and no one has still come to terms with the actor's suicide.
Sushant Singh Rajput's sister, Shweta Singh Kirti is frequently taking to her social media handles to post in the memory of her late brother. A few hours back, Shweta updated her Facebook profile picture to an all-smiling selfie with her brother and in her heart-wrenching caption wished to be able to hold him one more time. Shweta captioned their selfie as "I wish I could just hold you one more time..."
Shweta Singh Kirti had also posted an endearing video of Sushant Singh Rajput which beautifully captured his life. Giving a sneak-peek into Sushant's life beyond the fame and silver screens, Shweta had remembered her 'forever star' and had written, “A pain so precious so close that you wouldn't trade the world for it!! A wound so deep, so grave you wouldn’t and couldn’t ever share it!” The video begins with words once said by Sushant, "Somewhere between neurons and narratives, I was born, dreamt and died." As a tribute to late Sushant Singh Rajput, his family had set up a foundation on his name, Sushant Singh Rajput Foundation (SSRF), to support the aspiring talents in the three subjects that were extremely close to the actor's heart i.e., the field of cinema, sports and science. It was also revealed that his childhood home in Patna will be converted into a memorial, which will have his personal belongings, including his favourite books and his 'most prized possession', his telescope.
Releasing an official statement regarding the same, Sushant Singh Rajput's family had informed, "The world's Sushant Singh Rajput was simply Gulshan to us. He was free-spirited, talkative and incredibly bright. He was curious about just everything. He dreamed without restraints, and chased those dreams with the heart of a lion. He smiled generously. He was the pride and inspiration of the family. His telescope was his most prized possession, through which he fondly gazed at the stars."
The statement had further talked about the void that Sushant Singh Rajput's demise has created in his family's lives, "We can't bring ourselves to accept that we wouldn't get to hear his easy laughs anymore. That we wouldn't see his sparkling eyes again. That we wouldn't hear his endless rants about science again. His loss has created a permanent, glaring void in the family that will never be filled. He truly loved and cherished every single one of his fans. We thank you for showering our Gulshan with so much love."
The statement concluded with the information of how his childhood home in Rajiv Nagar, Patna, will be turned into a memorial, "To honour his memory and legacy, the family has decided to set up Sushant Singh Rajput Foundation (SSRF) to support young talents in areas close to his heart - cinema, science and sports. His childhood home in Rajiv Nagar, Patna, will be turned into a memorial. We will put his personal memorabilia and belongings there, that include thousands of books, his telescope, flight-simulator etc, for his fans and admirers. From now on, we intend to maintain his Instagram, Twitter and Facebook page as legacy accounts to keep his memories alive. We once again, thank you all for the thoughts and prayers."
