We all have turned into chefs to satisfy our hunger pangs, cooking momos to pasta to gol-gappe just because we can neither step out nor get them delivered home. This is our condition, now imagine how hard it will be for someone, who is expecting a baby and is in their pregnancy phase. There is a whole another level of hormonal changes that a woman goes through when pregnant, leading to mood swings and cravings. And since the entire nation is under complete lockdown, there is no way to satisfy those cravings. It is like not being able to give your child what they demand, the child that is solely dependent on you, and that is sure not a great feeling for any parent. Sumeet Vyas, who is soon going to be a father, is going through this feeling of helplessness and we wish we could help him anyhow! Sumeet Vyas and Ekta Kaul had tied the knot on September 15, 2018. It was on April 5, 2020, that the couple had announced that they are all set to welcome their junior Permanent Roommate in June 2020. Ekta had taken to her Instagram handle to share the news of entering the mommy phase in her life and had posted a mushy picture with her hubby, captioning it as "Proudly announcing our new project together. Introducing Jr. KaulVyas (soon) Created, Directed and Produced by US.... @sumeetvyas and I." Ever since the announcement of the junior Kaul Vyas, the soon-to-be parents are sharing their happy moments with their fans. However, according to the Hindustan Times, Sumeet is a bit dejected as he is unable to fulfil his pregnant wife’s food cravings due to the lockdown crisis.
According to Sumeet Vyas, it is not a nice feeling to have a pregnancy in the lockdown phase as he is unable to fulfil his wife, Ekta Kaul’s craving. In his words, “There is no room for mood swings. There is no room for cravings, she can’t demand anything and I can’t get anything for her. It is not a nice feeling. This is a time when ideally I would have preferred to pamper her with whatever she wants.”
Sumeet also talked about his funda to keep the romance alive in their married life, but now he cannot follow that any more. He said, “One thing that we both really enjoy is that we twice or thrice a week, we go out for dinners. It keeps the romance alive. I always feel that we should never stop dating even if we are married. Despite all the troubles the couple is dealing with, Permanent Roommates fame, Sumeet Vyas believes in looking at the brighter side of things, and said, “These are very small sacrifices that we are making. In the larger scheme of things, we should be grateful for the things we have — a home to live, food to eat, it is a blessing indeed.”
As it is a situation of total lockdown, the couple is also following isolation and more so because of Ekta’s condition as she is due in June. Talking about how he is trying his best not to make Ekta feel suffocated, he said, “We don’t step out at all. We go down for a walk in our building compound just once a week. She should not feel suffocated sitting in the room. It is not a healthy feeling. She is seriously quarantined and we have no one coming home.” adding that the due date is in June.
Sumeet also talked about how cops are helping them as they have to go out to see the doctor a couple of times for Ekta’s check-up. He said, “The cops are very understanding and they saw a pregnant woman and didn’t stop us or anything.
