It's been more than a year since Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan's daughter, Suhana Khan had made her Instagram account public and it had lovely pictures of her brothers, Aryan Khan and AbRam Khan, proving the slang, ‘bros before hoes’, just right! However, Suhana had deleted many of the pictures later. Now, Suhana's feed is more about the glimpses of her larger-than-life lifestyle in Mumbai and New York, where she's currently studying. With the universities reopening amidst the pandemic, Suhana had moved back to the US in January end.
Last year, before the lockdown was imposed, Suhana Khan had returned to Mumbai to be with her family amidst the pandemic outbreak. In 2021, when Suhana had touched down in New York City, she had delighted her fans with a beautiful view outside her apartment. Giving a glimpse of her 'room with a view', Suhana had posted a two-second video of the snowy time in NYC. Here’s a screenshot of the same:
Suhana Khan often gives sneak-peeks into her apartment in New York City and now, she gave a glimpse of her cosy corner. Perfectly capturing the sunset through her balcony and adding an extra charm to the skyline of New York, Suhana did not write any caption to her picture but just added a 'home' emoji atop it. Suhana's apartment on a high-rise building gives a breathtaking view of the NYC skyline.
A few months after Suhana Khan made her Instagram account public, she had raised her voice to bring a change in society and spread awareness by sharing her experience with colourism. Suhana has always impressed us with her impeccable sense of style and with the short glimpses we had seen of her acting, we are sure she is genetically blessed with talent. But things weren’t as easy as it seems to be for the star-kid as in her strongly-worded post on ending colourism, she had written, "There's a lot going on right now and this is one of the issues we need to fix!! this isn't just about me, it's about every young girl/boy who has grown up feeling inferior for absolutely no reason. Here are just a few of the comments made about my appearance. I've been told I'm ugly because of my skin tone, by full grown men and women, since I was 12 years old."
Speaking about the notions of beauty that social media and matchmaking sites have convinced people to believe and that she is happy to be 5'3 and brown, Suhana Khan ended her note with the hashtag, End Colourism, "Other than the fact that these are actual adults, what's sad is that we are all Indian, which automatically makes us brown - yes we come in different shades but no matter how much you try to distance yourself from the melanin, you just can't. Hating on your own people just means that you are painfully insecure. I'm sorry if social media, Indian matchmaking or even your own families have convinced you, that if you're not 5"7 and fair you're not beautiful. I hope it helps to know that I'm 5"3 and brown and I am extremely happy about it and you should be too. #endcolourism."
A few days ago, Shah Rukh Khan had hosted an #AskSRK session on his Twitter handle, in which he was asked a few questions about his kids, Aryan Khan, Suhana Khan and AbRam Khan. When a fan had asked, "Sir, you once told on KwK (Koffee With Karan) that you have no friends and you don’t know how to maintain friendships. Would you still say the same?" Shah Rukh had replied, "Nahi ab mere bachche mere dost hain." Revealing if he's a strict father to Aryan, Suhana and AbRam, Shah Rukh had said, "Children were made for hugging and loving….and for making mistakes, not for reprimand or strictness."
Seems like every corner of Suhana's apartment in NYC comes with a breathtaking view!
